Bill & Ted Face The Music Trailer Arrives Online

The Wyld Stallyns are back in the first full trailer for the long-anticipated sequel Bill & Ted Face The Music. The Bill & Ted Face The Music trailer opens on an exchange between our titular heroes and the always welcome Holland Taylor’s Great Leader, who lets the audience know that the iconic duo has yet to write the song that will save the universe, being relegated to an afterthought on two-dollar taco night. Bill suggests they go to the future and steal the song from themselves, something Ted is wary of before his lifelong friend assures him that it isn’t stealing if they steal from themselves. The Bill & Ted Face The Music trailer culminates in the two encountering their future selves in prison as they comment that the song is a bit darker than they expected.

Were this any other film, I’d be annoyed that they gave away so much of the movie, but most Bill & Ted fans pretty much know what they’ll be getting with the film. Keanu Reeves once said he wanted to do the film to bring some hope and joy to the world, and based on the Bill & Ted Face The Music trailer, I’d say he’s definitely succeeded. It also seems like the marketing team behind the film is doing everything right, including releasing the trailer on Bill & Ted Day ( “69, dudes!”). It’s great to see that Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves were able to slip back into their roles so well, and I can’t wait to see more when Bill & Ted Face The Music comes to theaters (barring any complications with the pandemic) on August 21st.

Are you excited for the new film, or have the Wyld Stallyns played their last chord? Do you feel they gave away too much of the film in the Bill & Ted Face The Music trailer? Let us know in the comments and stay safe and healthy as Geeks + Gamers brings you more movie and TV news!

It looks like what I would expect form a Bill & Ted movie. There’s lot of nostalgia mixed in with the hard reality that we (the generation that saw Bill & Ted in theatres) are getting old and life didn’t work out like we hoped. The only hesitation I have from watching the trailer is how old Keanu looks and I’m not sure how much of it is makeup.
