Clone Wars and Jupiter’s Legacy Star Matt Lanter Hospitalized

Actor Matt Lanter’s wife Angela has shared on Instagram that he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, calling this the scariest week of her life. She didn’t say what the surgery was for but did share that Matt won’t be released just yet. She goes on to thank their followers for their love and support, as well as nurses, who she calls “the real heroes.” Matt Lanter is known for voicing Anakin Skywalker in the 2008 animated series The Clone Wars. He has also appeared in 90210 and Jupiter’s Legacy. Read an excerpt from Angela Lanter’s post here:

“My hubby has been through the ringer since Tuesday and ended up in emergency surgery on Thursday. Thankfully he’s started to turn the corner and is slowly getting on the road to recovery.”

Matt Lanter’s Clone Wars co-star Ashley Eckstein also sent her best wishes on Instagram. I hope that whatever recovery this entails goes well, and I completely understand Lanter’s wife keeping it brief and vague. I think it’s valid to reach out for support and still expect some level of privacy. Whatever happened, it sounds like his life isn’t in any immediate danger, and that’s great. Ashley Eckstein’s post is touching; it’s always nice to hear that these people actually like each other and aren’t just glorified co-workers. Hopefully, Lanter can get back to more Star Wars projects once he’s released and doing better.
