Disney’s Haunted Mansion Trailer Gets Spooky

Today, Disney released the first full trailer for Haunted Mansion, their latest attempt to capitalize on their theme park attractions. Of course, The Haunted Mansion has been adapted once before to questionable results. This film features a star-studded cast, including Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield, and Owen Wilson. Check out the trailer here:

Well, at least it looks better than the Eddie Murphy movie. I’m not really into Disney’s theme parks because I’ve never been to one. That’s one side of the company’s history and legacy I feel utterly disconnected from, as opposed to their film and TV ventures. But this actually looks, dare I say it, good. I really like the cast here, and what we see of the rapport between LaKeith Stanfield and Owen Wilson looks like fun. Based on this trailer, at least, it looks like this adaptation will handle the serious parts better than last time. That’s not saying much, but most Disney remakes are a big step down, so I’d welcome the change.

But what do you think? What do you know about The Haunted Mansion, and are you excited about the film? Drop us a comment below!

Trailer was ok. I like the poster. “Home is where the Haunt is” is a great line. The ride at Disney is a lot of fun. Very spooky. I went there a few times. It really had the spark, the amusement park did. I think it looks good. It has an R.L. Stine GooseBumps feel to it, which means it will be decent. Not so sure about the cast.
I do like that they are trying to pull off a ghost story.

The cast is my favorite part, at least from what the trailer shows. I’m cautiously optimistic about this one.
