Ex-Raider Henry Ruggs III Receives Additional Charges Stemming From Fiery, Deadly Wreck

Disgraced former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III faces five additional charges stemming from the fatal car crash he was involved in last week. The accident was caused by his drunken speeding at 156 mph.

Clark County prosecutors on Friday added additional felonies: DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and reckless driving resulting in substantial bodily harm. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Ruggs was also hit with an additional misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm while under the influence. All of those new charges, in conjunction with the two previously reported, can result in up to 46 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

A video posted over a year ago of Ruggs speeding through a suburban Las Vegas Street showed a history of reckless driving. The video, taken by Ruggs’ girlfriend, Rudy Kilgo-Washington, sees the wide receiver revving his engine as he speeds down the street.

The clip, archived by The New York Post, has been deleted from the YouTube channel; it is captioned with several facepalm emojis and the text “SLOW DOWNNN.”

After voicing her concern, Kilgo-Washington is recorded saying, “Just don’t do it no more.” Ruggs retorts with, “What rockets do? Take off,” before flooring it.

The vehicle in the video appears to be the same totaled Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that took the life of Tina Tintor, 23, and her dog. Ruggs collided with the back of the Toyota Rav4 she was driving while his blood alcohol content was a registered 0.161.
