Final Doom Patrol Season 3 Trailer Arrives

With just over three weeks left until the Doom Patrol season 3 premiere, HBO Max and Warner Bros. have finally released the full trailer for the season. The new clip introduces Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) and provides further clues as to the plot and feel of season 3. Timothy Dalton’s Chief Niles Caulder is conspicuously absent from the clip, which focuses on his titular freaks and their struggles with their abilities and conditions. The Brotherhood of Evil is also introduced as a major threat for the Patrol this season. Check out the new trailer here:

I think this is a great trailer. I love the bonkers imagery that pops up sporadically. This trailer is even trippier than the last one. I love how they’ve handled Rita and her inability to control her expansion powers, and it looks like we’ll be getting a lot more of that this season. Likewise, I’m hoping for more heartwarming friendship moments with Larry and Rita. I’m glad Cliff said his catchphrase, even if I can’t repeat it. That’s an instant laugh from me. He’s my favorite character, and it would be difficult to mess him up; I’m looking forward to wherever his story with his daughter leads. Speaking of daughters, they’re obviously trying to save Niles and Dorothy’s situations as a surprise. Niles is my other favorite, so I’m eager to see what the showrunners have in store for him. It’ll also be interesting to see what’s going on with Victor and his systems being remotely shut down. When your system is your whole body, that must be pretty scary. I just can’t wait for the new season and the wacky hijinks that will surely ensue.

Are you excited for the return of the Doom Patrol? What do you think Niles is up to? Is Mr. Nobody even still part of this show? Let us know in the comments below!
