Howard Stern and Cenk Uygur Take Shots at Joe Rogan

Despite losing relevance and facing plummeting search traffic since exclusively broadcasting on Spotify, Joe Rogan has found himself the “prettiest girl at the dance. Specifically, he’s catching the ire of two of the biggest ghouls in media, Howard Stern and Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks. Along the way, the UFC color commentator and 100 Million Dollar Man picked up an unexpected ally from the new media sphere in Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy.

Howard Stern, the original $100 million sellout, broadcasted his thoughts from his Hamptons bunker. He slammed the recovery methods of Joe Rogan when he beat COVID-19 in a matter of days from a cocktail of therapeutics prescribed to him by his physician. Focusing on ivermectin usage, Stern called it horse de-wormer,” although its use in humans was honored with a Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine. The 67-year-old self-professed “King of all Media” lambasted Rogan as an “imbecile,” an “anti-vaxxer,” and other things someone who is so openly clout-chasing would say.

“I heard what Joe Rogan was saying, ‘What are you busting my balls [for]? I took horse de-wormer and a doctor gave it to me.’ Well, a doctor would also give you a vaccine, so why take horse de-wormer?” This is a man famous for getting porn stars to use various sex objects live on air, flexing his medical credentials.

Rogan had announced he had contracted COVID-19 on September 1 and that treatment would entail various medications such as monoclonal antibodies (Regeneron), prednisone, and ivermectin. “I’m not an anti-vax person,” Rogan mentioned on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, several times. “In fact, I said I believe they’re safe and I encourage many people to take them. My parents were vaccinated. I just said I don’t think if you’re a young, healthy person you need it,” referring to his purposefully misconstrued statements by CNN, whom he may sue.

Stern, playing out the sad reality that time has passed him by, had this to say about the unvaccinated (we know not about Rogan’s vaccination status, mind you, nor is it anyone’s business):

“Don’t take the cure, but don’t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Stay home, don’t bother with science, it’s too late. Go fuck yourself, we just don’t have time for you.”

“Hop-Along Howie” is woefully misinformed about the risk of hospitalization, as most people are. A positive case normally results in a trip to the hospital for less than 5% of people. According to a recent poll, over 60% of respondents think that number is over 50%.

Joe Rogan, Howard Stern, Dave Portnoy

On the September 28, 2021, edition of The Dave Portnoy Show with Eddie & Co., El Presidente Dave Portnoy pointed out the blatant hypocrisy of Stern.

“He seems like somebody who slung it and would do anything, and he’s quick now to, like, wag his finger at you. He almost seems like he’d be wagging his finger at a younger self, if that makes any sense. Rogan is almost the new Stern, in a weird way.” Incredibly correct take by Portnoy.

Perhaps trying to capitalize on the influencer boxer craze, Cenk Uygur hopes Rogan would consider a catchweight fight. It would be an easy fight in the union-busting (and chair-busting) CEO of the Young Turks’ mind. Apparently taking a shot at the Stern/Rogan back-and-forth and his listeners (Rogan has millions more than the entire TYT Platform), Uygur stuck his fat foot into his mouth. He must have mistaken it for something covered in gravy in tweeting out this gem:

Attempting to double-down like it’s cheese on his fast-food order, he retweeted an offer from an anonymous account saying he would “end” Rogan in a fight. Presumably, he thought he would somehow be able to just suffocate him if he ever got into mount position.

If you are unaware, Joe Rogan is one of the most decorated men in combat sports to never compete professionally. He has black belts in Taekwondo, Jean Marques Machado’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi BBJ), and Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu (no-Gi BJJ). He has also collected the Massachusetts full contact Taekwondo championship for four consecutive years, as well as the U.S. Open Taekwondo championship in the lightweight division. For an example of his martial arts prowess, check out this kick:

“Chunk” gets winded putting on a black belt in the morning, so “OF COURSE” it would be a pretty close fight.
