Mark Ruffalo Cheers on Riots Ahead of Future Marvel Appearances

If you thought Hollywood was in danger of rising from the ashes of the fire it started, have no fear: movie stars are here to make sure it keeps burning. This time, the risen hero is Mark Ruffalo, the actor who became a household name when he started playing the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then mentally checked out and started playing himself as a big green person. Ruffalo has always been one of the most outspoken MCU stars, and really one of the most outspoken actors in Hollywood, which is quite a feat considering how everyone in that industry loves to preen over their political opinions. Now, he’s latched onto the riots in Los Angeles over the enforcement of immigration laws; no points for guessing which side he’s on. Yesterday, Ruffalo posted this on his BlueSky account (because of course he has a BlueSky account):

Turning the military directly on American citizens on US soil is unconstitutional. This is not an insurrection. These are peaceful civil disobedience protests. They’re treating our National Guard like trash. June 14 is no Kings Day. Find a protest in your city.x.com/gavinnewsom/…

As expected, Mark Ruffalo repeats the lie that the protests in Los Angeles are peaceful, joining the chorus of media propagandists who demand we ignore videos of burning cars, looted businesses, blocked highways, attacked cops, and rocks being hurled at cars. He also throws in another lie: that the military parade on June 14 is to celebrate President Trump’s birthday when it’s actually to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, which was created on June 14, 1775. This is a hoax that’s being called “No Kings Day,” with a big protest planned to coincide with the parade; Ruffalo is not only promoting these protests but also encouraging others to join them. It’s not surprising to see Ruffalo go all in on these nonsense stories, just like it wouldn’t be surprising if he pulled his hair out while screeching about fracking; he’s one of the loonier Hollywood figures, and while it was entertaining to see him lick his wounds when Trump won the Presidential election last November, nobody thought he’d keep quiet – or sane – for long.

And, like the rest of Hollywood, the larger entertainment industry, or the news media, nobody thought Mark Ruffalo would learn from his mistakes, either. There were countless articles, observations, analyses, and other such reports that celebrity endorsements either had no effect in the last election or maybe even had a detrimental effect on the endorsed candidate. People are tired of hearing the rich and famous lecture them about politics – I believe they’ve always disliked it, but the media is choosing to notice it now – and when that is combined with the box office downturn that coincided with the rapid politicization of entertainment, anyone paying attention would get the message that movie stars need to stop injecting themselves into politics and stop injecting politics into their public image. And while there have been suggestions that this would turn around, example after example of Hollywood not getting the message occur. Mark Ruffalo cheering on rioters while jeering the Marines and Nation Guardsmen trying to protect innocent Americans from them, as well as asking people to effectively protest the very existence of the US Army while pretending it’s about Trump, is the latest.

So, the question becomes, how much longer can Hollywood afford to let actors like Mark Ruffalo conduct themselves like this and continue being in major movies? Ruffalo plays one of the central figures in the MCU (his inability to get another solo movie notwithstanding), a franchise that has been in a tailspin for several years, in part because of its inability to stop lecturing people about sociopolitical issues and injecting identity politics into every production. In July, Marvel’s next film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, will open, and audiences already know it’s continuing Marvel’s girl boss trend, neutering the Human Torch, downplaying the Thing, and turning the Silver Surfer into a woman. Having one of the original Avengers support violent riots and help stage protests is not going to make anyone on the fence more inclined to see a Marvel movie, and it may well convince them to skip First Steps. Beyond that, Ruffalo is almost certainly going to be in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, not to mention Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Marvel and Disney need audiences to show up for those movies, and having one of the main characters bloviate about divisive political issues is not going to help. Unless everyone in the studio board rooms has drunk too much of the Kool-Aid as well, they’ll have to start reining in these actors. It would be really interesting if Hollywood went back to something resembling the old studio system, where the studio heads kept a lid on the stars and forced filmmakers to leave their politics at the door. I don’t think it’ll go quite that far – the media wouldn’t allow it – but they’re going to have to clamp down on nuts like Mark Ruffalo if they ever want to make money again.

He can make all the statements he wants, but where is he now? Without the Hulk, what else has he done? Mickey17 flopped. I was interested in it, but didn’t watch it. Also, if you look where El Salvador was, the lesson there is that once things get so bad, nobody cares anymore, they just want the crime and the fires and corruption to stop, by any means. It’s not just the riots, but looting is normal. It’s the coddling of criminals. It’s the invasion and the ripoff. It’s the fact that Democracy is a total lie. Californians voted on ballot initiatives and Judges Phaelzar and Garland threw out the people’s will and the people’s vote, so people like Ruffalor are not into Democracy and they are the authoritarian ones. We are not talking no less than over 30 years of stolen taxpayer money where real Americans were held hostage to the invaders and the illegal aliens and the people who steal catalytic converters and join gangs. One of my classmates was stabbed to death by one of them and that was a long time ago. There are many other cases like this. It’s too late to talk about the law that your party has been breaking for generations to benefit invaders over Americans. Also, will say this, I want Ruffalo and other actors to support the riots and the crime and the scum, as it will only drive more people away and into the arms of A.I.

I saw a headline saying the riots are causing film productions in California to be halted. They can barely keep any productions in the state already because of their ridiculous taxes, and the few they do keep are being shut down because they allow illegals and leftwing animals to riot. And Ruffalo is cheering it on.
