New Cursed Trailer Arrives Online

Nimue’s battle is about to begin as the second trailer for the new Netflix show Cursed has arrived online. While the voiceover retreads a lot of what we heard in the first trailer, we now get to see more of the villains and what their motivations are, proclaiming their mission to be the extinction of magic as they burn witches. Meanwhile, Nimue’s mother sends her to find Merlin, and we get another glimpse of Excalibur and how everyone wants to wield its power. Check out the new Cursed trailer below:

As much as I like the footage on display here, I can’t help but be annoyed that Netflix put out a new Cursed trailer for the show so close to its premiere in just over two weeks. The first trailer was more than enough to get a sense of what this show was all about without giving away too much of the plot. After watching this one, I feel like I know exactly where Cursed is going to go. Much has been made about a lack of promotion when it comes to Netflix shows, yet to an extent, I feel like that helps create intrigue through a “less is more” approach. That being said, I hope putting out a new Cursed trailer is a show of confidence from Netflix in what Cursed is bringing to the mythology. Hopefully, there are still some surprises in store for fans when the show officially debuts on July 17th. One way or another, I’ll definitely be watching.

What did you think of the new Cursed trailer? Did they give too much away, or was it just the right amount? Do you think they should’ve held off and let the show premiere? Do you think Netflix typically has a problem when it comes to the promotion of their projects? I grew up watching Excalibur so most Hollyweird Arthurian remakes are garbage, Ill wait on this one.
