I’ve been itching for more information on the Suspiria remake since the first teaser dropped in June. After cryptic tweets and a lot of buildup over the past couple of days, the new Suspiria trailer has dropped, and it’s a doozy. Check it out below:

This Suspiria trailer truly capitalizes on the visual style of the film, doubling down on the beautiful yet haunting imagery and cinematography. They also really maximize the tension with the incredible music and editing. This time around we get a clearer picture of the crux of the film, and they possibly reveal that Suzy Bannion might be in league with the witches this time around. If that’s the case, they’re definitely moving as far away from the original concept as possible, which is okay in my book. Color me glad that they aren’t trying to go for what Dario Argento did because no one can replicate that original film. The performances look stellar, with Dakota Johnson being exceedingly creepy, and Chloë Grace Moretz delivering a chilling narration. Mia Goth also looks quite intriguing, but the actress I’m most excited to see is Tilda Swinton as Madame Blanc, as Swinton ALWAYS delivers a show-stopping performance.

Long story short, the Suspiria trailer did its job because I’m beyond hyped for this film. I will say that I probably prefer the first trailer just slightly to this one, if only because of how it physically made me feel. That trailer gave me chills.
