Peter Pan and Wendy Trailer and Poster Reaction

There have been Disney remakes I’ve enjoyed, but at this point, I’m so tired of this trend that I can’t stand it. Regardless, Disney+ released the first full trailer for Peter Pan and Wendy today. As usual, this trailer shows off superficial modern changes like adding Wendy to the title and having some female lost boys. Peter Pan and Wendy streams exclusively on Disney+ April 28th. Check out the trailer here:

And here’s the new poster:

Peter Pan Trailer

Unsurprisingly, this doesn’t look very good. I’m not a fan of Disney’s Peter Pan, or any version, for that matter. The 2003 version with Jason Isaacs is my favorite by default. However, I ironically enjoy some offshoots like the Tinker Bell movies and Finding Neverland, which tells the story of Peter Pan’s author. Regardless, I wasn’t going to look forward to this movie, almost no matter what. But it looks pretty bad, between the questionable graphics and Jude Law hamming it up as Captain Hook. I love him, and he’s probably better in the context of the larger story, but they didn’t do him any favors with this trailer. Unfortunately, I will probably watch this out of a sense of obligation, but I can’t imagine this being on the level of Cinderella or even Dumbo.

But what do you think of the trailer, Disney’s Peter Pan, or anything else? Talk to us in the comments!

Maybe this’ll be better than the last couple remakes. David Lowery has a reputation for some decent films like Pete’s Dragon and Green Knight. While I didn’t watch all of Green Knight, I did enjoy his take on Pete’s Dragon more than the original film.

I agree about while liking the original Disney film, it’s not the greatest, but I enjoyed the 2003 version and some of the Tinker Bell films. I have seen Finding Neverland, but I’m not sure what I feel about it because it was a while ago. Sure, Neverland doesn’t look as vibrant as 2003’s, and maybe we’ll get another trailer since it is a teaser.

It has to be better than Pan, because that disappointed many of us including me.
