Peter Pan and Wendy Trailer Takes Flight

Today, Disney released the final trailer for Peter Pan and Wendy. This modern rendition of Disney’s classic JM Barrie adaptation stars Yara Shahidi, Jude Law, Jim Gaffigan, and more. Check out the trailer here:

I find this movie hard to assess compared to most Disney remakes because I don’t like Peter Pan or feel any emotional attachment to the story. The film looks terrible and appears to make a lot of unnecessary changes. These alterations made me mad in Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, but I don’t care about Disney’s Peter Pan or the original story. So this movie is automatically uninteresting to me, and the changes are just funny at this point. Recreating a 60-year-old movie shot-for-shot with political modernity shoved in isn’t going to win anyone over. I’ll watch this to review it, but I doubt it’ll be any good.
