I thought I would chime in here on this topic because I know how many peoples out there truelly hate certainly Star Wars stuff and that is understandable indeed because I would honestly have to agree with some here and it is that I too think that certain Star Wars films could of been done much better, but clearly the writers they got were very Poor ones because they clearly failed to understand the storylines or the plots for that matter. NO doubt they weren’t Real Star Wars fans at all. I also wanted to comment on the tv shows that were made like the Mandalorian-Season 1-3, Obi Wan Kenobi, Andor, Book of Boba Fett and the Acolyte. Some of these shows were poorly done as well and if Disney had done a lot better with finding good writers & a good director as well, not some Crazy/Lesbo freak and her partner in crime Kathleen Kennedy and also the bad picks for actors & actresses because we all know they were just Nobodies that were hired/ brainwashed with the DEI virus and then let loose to run amuck.

That Baby Ochi creature = Baby Yoda (Mandalorian) = Gizmo (Gremlins).

ASH – trailer feeds you just enough to make it interesting.

But The Electric State stands out from the lot…looks like a good adventure movie.

I am going to make this perfectly simple….

…..There are only 6 Star Wars movies, and only 6 Star Wars Movies that are canon for me:

    1. Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

    2. Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones

    3. Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

    4. Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope

    5. Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back

    6. Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi

with 2 bonus movies that are Star Wars canon in my opinion which are canon which are:

    1. Star Wars: Clone Wars

    2. Star Wars: Rogue One (Which is kinda canon, and kinda not depending on my mood)

I would kinda even say that the first 2 seasons of The Mandalorian and 3 episodes of Book of Boba Fett that feature Mando is Star Wars canon.

Anything that Lady Cartman says is her canon in Star Wars…they are all a bag of lies, and not canon….nuff said

The Mandalorian burst onto the scene as a refreshing addition to the Star Wars universe, capturing the hearts of fans with its gritty storytelling, nostalgic references, and the undeniable charm of Baby Yoda. However, as the series progressed, some fans and critics began to feel that it lost its way. What went wrong, and how can the show course-correct in future seasons?

    1. Over-Reliance on Cameos
One of the biggest criticisms has been the over-reliance on cameo appearances from well-known Star Wars characters. While these cameos initially excited fans, they began to feel like a distraction from the main storyline. To fix this, the showrunners should refocus on the original narrative surrounding Din Djarin and Grogu, allowing their characters to evolve without overshadowing by larger Star Wars lore.

    2. Lack of Character Development
While The Mandalorian darksaber offers great action and visuals, some characters, including Din Djarin himself, have seen limited growth. To improve, the show should delve deeper into the personal struggles and backstories of the main characters. This would add emotional depth and create stronger connections with the audience.

    3. Inconsistent Pacing
Another issue has been the inconsistent pacing of the episodes. Some episodes are action-packed, while others feel like filler. Balancing the pacing by integrating action with meaningful character-driven moments can create a more engaging experience.

    Conclusion
The Mandalorian has the potential to return to its former glory by addressing these issues. By focusing on character development, refining the narrative, and balancing the pacing, the show can once again capture the magic that made it a standout in the Star Wars universe. The future of the series depends on its ability to evolve and grow, much like the characters it portrays.

Methinks, most fans are checked out on Star Wars hence the apathy.

Suffice it to say the original trilogy is Star Wars – I re-watch it annually.

Of the prequels, Revenge of the Sith is the only one that kinda lived up to the originals – I haven’t re-watched this in years.

As for the modern stuff Rogue One and The Mandalorian Season 1 kept closest to the spirit of the primes – yet, I haven’t re-watched these at all.

The spirituality and mystery of that spirituality are why I like the original trilogy so much. Leaving things open ended left a lot to the imagination and as a kid you felt that hey, I too could become a Jedi and wield the force.

Then in Episode 1 Lucas came in with that midi-chlorian crap which meant that true force-wielders were a select few that were born, not developed (and no, that “I am one with the force and the force is with me” bone that was thrown for the rest of humanity in Rogue One just doesn’t cut it).

And now in the Acolyte, the force is not the force but a string? Yeah, ok.

I’ll forever be fine with the first three, who wants can have the rest.

This news has been going around for a few days now and it is annoying the hell out of me because the second I read/heard it I knew it was a lie for one simple reason. They are not mentioning the budget of all the movies and tv shows which also goes against that claimed profit.

Here is an article for reference in the Disney claims that they made an 8 billion profit off Star Wars so far. It is a LIE!

    https://www.cbr.com/disneys-huge-star-wars-profits-revealed/

Lucasfilm was purchased for $4.05 billion. Disney actually says it was a 12 million profit, but the $4.05 billion cost to purchase Lucasfilm is removed to make it 8 billion profit. So, let’s use that that logic shall we? They are failing to mention the budget of each movie and tv show, and how much that is combined to be removed from that profit margin.

So, here are the (sometimes estimated) budget costs of each tv show and movie so far:

    Movies

The Force Awakens – $447 million budget

The Last Jedi – $300 million budget

The Rise of Palpatine – $416 million budget

Rogue One – $232 million budget

Solo: A Unwanted Star Wars Story – $271 million

    TV Shows

Obi Wan – $90 million budget

    Ahsoka – $100 million budget

The Book of Boba Fett – $105 million budget

    Andor – $250 million budget

The Clone Wars Seasons 7 – Unknown

Tales of the Jedi – Unknown

Star Wars Visions Season 1 and 2 – Unknown

The Mandalorian – $360 million budget (all 3 seasons combined)

(Upcoming shows that are already filmed and nearly done so count towards this)

The Acolyte – $170 million budget

Skeleton Crew – $136 million budget

    Andor Season Two – Unknown

But wait, there is more. One thing people forget is that Indiana Jones is ALSO Lucasfilm. And we had Dial of Destiny didn’t we?

Indian Jones and the Dial of Destiny – $295 million budget

Ohh, but there is one more. Willow. Yes, the Willow tv series that you can’t even watch anymore. That is also a Lucasfilm production.

Willow tv show – $105.9 budget.

Add all this up and you have 3.4 billion estimated budget costs across all productions. We don’t know the budget of four of these and there is also other fee’s and advertisement, etc. So, I am going to be very generous and say 3.4 billion in budget for everything. That means the claimed 8 billion in profit goes down to 4.6 billion in profit.  And, again, that is being generous. It’s realistically probably closer to 4. Disney spent 4.05 billion to buy Lucasfilm and has only made less than 4.6 billion in profit from it after all budgets and everything said and done.

Disney is lying. As are all the articles and news about it.

    End of Line.

I’m surprised Ms Kennedy still has a job at LucasFilm considering what she’s done to Star Wars, Willow and soon Indy 5. Sure there’s been some decent Star Wars stuff from Disney such as ‘Rogue One’, ‘Jedi: Fallen Order’ and the first two seasons of the Mandalorian but most of it has been pretty dead. Them announcing another Rey film is them committing suicide.

t’s no secret that The Mandalorian is a fan favourite within the new Star Wars canon. The Mandalorian will make its return to Disney plus for a third season after being off the streaming service for the past two years.
Since its premiere in 2019, The Mandalorian has distinguished itself as the Disney+ programme that best exemplifies the streaming service. It demonstrated what a show on the Disney streaming platform could be like with unique episode durations, a mainly faceless hero, and the unforeseen cultural influence of Grogu.
Din Djarin, the show’s protagonist, is instantly likable, and Grogu, whom viewers have taken to calling “Baby Yoda,” has made a huge impression on popular culture.  While on the run from the Empire and attempting to safeguard a Force-sensitive Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda, the Mandalorian bounty hunter encountered a number of difficult obstacles. Din Djarin and Grogu are reconciled after a heartfelt parting during which they said their goodbyes in tears.
Everything we know so far about the forthcoming third season of The Mandalorian, including when it will premiere and how the cliffhanger ending of Season 2 will set up the show’s next chapter.

Given that the conclusion of Season 2 wrapped up a significant amount of unresolved plot threads, it is quite difficult to speculate at this point in time. It’s likely that now that he is no longer responsible for Baby Yoda, Mando will go back to his old career as a bounty hunter and get back in touch with his old friend Greef Karga.

On March 1, 2023, Disney+ will premiere the The Mandalorian S3. Even though Lucasfilm has previously promised a February comeback, the programme won’t air until March 1.

How to see the third season of “The Mandalorian” The Star Wars show is an official original production available only on Disney+. You may watch the first two seasons of the show on the streaming service if you want to get caught up before the new episodes become available.

Star Wars “Skeleton Crew” with Jude Law. I like the title and the actor, but know nothing further about it.
I guess there is one called “The Acolyte” with Daisy Ridley too? https://www.cbr.com/star-wars-the-acolyte-amazing-daisy-ridley/

Created by Leslye Headland, The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller about a former Padawan who teams up with her old Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. Set before the prequels at the end of the High Republic era, it takes viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set nine years after the battle of Yavin. For those unfamiliar with the ever-growing Star Wars timeline, this is five years after Return of the Jedi and starting at almost the same time as Season 1 of The Mandalorian. For those concerned that the show may be meant just for children, creator Jon Watts has already assured audiences that this “will not be a kid’s show.”
that the show is “a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” The show is primarily about a group of four different children from a previously unknown planet who somehow get lost inside the Star Wars galaxy we all know and love.

I have only one Response to it.

      Mando Season 3

So after watching the Andor series, as I suspected, I still can’t stand the character and none of the characters on the show for that matter.  They failed to make me care about them at all.  Don’t ask me what the show was about, couldn’t tell you.  It was mostly just a lot of walking and talking.  I guess if someone asked I would say it’s an origin story for Cassian.

I will give the show a little credit.  It may have opened the doors for other creatives to make SW content that isn’t necessarily connected to the Skywalker  legacy.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that, because there isn’t, but it would be nice to see spin off type shows in the same galaxy.  It’s what I thought The Mandalorian was going to be.  It’s great, and my favorite show by far, but before it came out I thought it would have nothing to do with the Force, Luke, etc.

      @Roas

As someone who has read over 100 of the “Legend” books, before they had that stupid label, and been around since the beginning, meaning I saw it in 1977 when it came out. I own enough SW merch to fill half a house. So, I am not some unknowing noob. But, I disagree with a lot of these takes on Andor. I didn’t find it “slow” or boring. I disagree with this popular opinion that just because it is Disney means it still can’t be good, and it is automatically hated simply because of that. I am no fan of Disney, they don’t get any of my money. But, The Mandalorian is good. So is Bad Batch, so was the final season of The Clone Wars, and imo so was Rogue One. I have enjoyed them. I have enjoyed Andor so far.

You said: “Go ahead and like it, I’m not going to stop you, but I am going to point out where I think you are wrong”

That comment is a bit over the top man. A) I don’t need your permission to like or dislike something. I don’t see why it would matter to you in the first place. B) I am not wrong in anything, there is nothing to be wrong in the first place. It’s my opinion that I like the show, that is not wrong, and that will not change. Neither is it wrong for you to have your opinion on it.

You said: “All roads of Disney Star Wars lead to Jake Skywalker. You can’t pretend otherwise. There is no separation.”

I really couldn’t care less about that. I don’t care either way. Utterly irrelevant to me and my opinions, and irrelevant to my op.

My saying “that is how life is” pertains to it being slow, because life can be slow. I certainly wasn’t “lecturing” anyone either, I don’t even know why that was brought in to it. I don’t argue with people online either, it’s a waste of time. Reading your reply we are on completely different wavelengths on the show, and that’s ok. That is life.

      Take care.

Personally I’ve never seen such bad acting with the Inquisitors. I was trying not to laugh most of the time whenever they spoke! And yes, it did feel more like the Lady Inquisitor’s show more than Obi’s show. The Mandalorian is starting to look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Good points overall, and the comments on bounty hunters does make a lot of sense.  I think where Disney fails this is the way they make so many people “friendly” to bounty hunters.  It use to be that bounty hunters struck fear in people (Episode II, V, and VI).  If more people were oblivious to them in the Disney universe, I think your point would be very accurate.

The biggest issue I had with the Ring world was the impracticality of it.   It’s easy to attack since it’s surface area is extremely vulnerable due to it’s shape and size.
If they really wanted a ring world, they would have done better to offer a little explanation why they would build such a structure in the first place, especially since it feels so out of place for this universe. They could have easily solved such questions by saying something like: It’s a free trade world in a sector that refuses to trade with the Republic (like the Dutch did with Japan back in the 1700-1800’s).
By contrast, Halo does a good job at introducing a ring world in the games by saying they’re weapons with strange alien tech that required them to be built as rings. The director claimed the reason for the Star Wars ring world was so that they might have gravity benefits, but this is not needed in Star Wars since gravity comes from the flooring.
In Star Wars, something should be influenced by culture, history, trade, and practicality (something Lucas stressed when he was making his films).
-In culture, we should see why a ring was chosen rather than a Death Star-like structure (like how the Utapau sink-hole world was made).
-In history, we should see something that shows age of the location or a story of its past, like what Star Wars did with the Ruins of Yavin 4.
-In trade, even if it’s not stated, it should be implied that there is a reason for the economy we see (similar to the Naboo Plasma Energy industry).
-And practicality, does something make sense and if the viewer were transported to the Star Wars universe, would they have made the same design decision based upon logic.
But let’s do Disney’s job for them and tease out this idea of making a ring world that would better fit the Star Wars universe:

As the smuggler’s craft exited hyperspace, the Mandalorian saw the Ring World before him. The Ring had a space port at its core, which was the only place in the sector that was open to trade with the New Republic. The Ring orbited a hostile world below which refused to acknowledge the Empire or the Republic; an isolated culture that would only permit trade at the space port. But since the population at the port kept growing, the ring was added to the port for the booming economy. It was a Spice trading port, partially why the world below refused to allow craft to land on their worlds. Spice had made the Ring world rich, so that many started to treat the world like another planet or moon. Mando could smell the Spice in the air and he gagged. The world was not a place one would want to live, yet the population now rivaled that of the planet below.
