At least we’d finally get an Assassin’s Creed Japan game where we play as a ninja.  This is why competition is important, it makes companies try and be better or at least companies that care about their consumers.

The only AAA games released in the past year I bought were Doom Eternal and Code Vein (or would this be AA). Most AAA games don’t impress me enough to warrant giving up $60. I moved on from COD, Assassin’s Creed, and Battlefield years ago. Never wanted to buy sports games to begin with.

I’ll likely stick more with games like TF2, Switch games, and other indie games that grab my attention for the time being.

RPG mechanics in non RPG games.

Skyrim is a fun game but a LVL based perk progression system isn’t enough to be called an RPG.

I haven’t played another Assassin’s Creed since 3 but last I heard they slapped in grindy LVL progression.

How many times do they release games so dumbed down and called them RPG’s.

Mass Effect 1 was closer to an RPG than 2 & 3.

I like action adventure games, but don’t call them RPG’s.

While both Origins and Odyssey made huge strides forward for the franchise, Assassin’s Creed 2 still reigns as the best in my mind. We got to see a full character arc with Ezio that was only further expanded and improved with Brotherhood and Revelations. He’s still my favorite assassin by far.

Hello Ghost99, thank you for your reply. I have not played Assassin’s Creed 3 but I will take your word for it .

What AC games have you played and how would you rank them? I havent played them all. So far Odyssey is the best from a gameplay and visual perspective. AC 3 had the best story although I didn’t like the ending with Desmond.. I think Rogue was a bit better when it comes to gameplay and the story was ok but not great. The first couple games I had a hard time playing. The gameplay hasn’t aged well at all. They are really clunky. Black Flag was simular gameplay to Rogue and the ship combat is clunky. Odyssey is way smoother being a much newer game. I’m currently playing AC Unity. It’s good so far. I plan on playing them all. But they take a long time to play.

I actually ended up getting it. I bought Sekiro and Detroit Become Human for 50. So I think it was a decent deal. I already had Detroit Become Human but only on digital. And I could only use it while subscribed to PlayStation Plus. Now I can play it when ever I want. I’m trying to collect more physical copies of games now. Most of the games I have are digital. Almost 180 digital PS4 games at this point. And only 4 physical. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Nioh, Detroit Become Human and Sekiro.

I think it will be more like Assassin’s Creed. I hated Red Dead Redemption 2 but I only played online. The online sucked.
