And some school boards are wanting to throw away STAT scores, and standardized tests, because their schools are failing to TEACH students.  (Those are more wanting to indoctrinate and create activists than to teach/education the students).

Every eighth grader failed state math tests at LeBron James-backed ‘I Promise School’

The school, which instructs low-achieving students in grades two through eight, previously received $1.4 million from The LeBron James Foundation, its parent organization.

Despite abundant resources, the school has not been able to meet state benchmarks.

“For three years, not one child passed the state test in math? Not one? For three years?” school board member Valerie McKitrick asked during a review of test data from the 2022-2023 school year.

This is but one example or many other there.

The education system is FAILING students.

They are being indoctrinated on WHAT to think (like a useful NPC/idiot), and not HOW to think.

And those that do make it into “higher” education, how many pick useless fields of study that have no career’s in the real world.  Then they want the taxpayer to pay off their loans they signed for (and promised to pay back).

As history has proven time and time again, a dumb population is easier to control than an educated population.  And the government(s) sure wants to control the population.

    CONSUME, do not question.

Believe what we tell you to believe, ignore what you see with your own eyes.

Accept the agenda/narrative, and let us do the thinking for you.

You will own nothing, and be happy.

This is one of the VERY few shows I kept up with and would wait for each episode to come out.

The entire cast is almost all comedians.  So it’s super silly with a hint of seriousness.

The entire show is about a small group of people trying to get along post a world killing virus.

While they hint at a serious topic now and then the show really focuses on the silly things that could happen in such a situation.

It’s really funny, sometimes thought provoking and just in general a good time.

Secret Service ends investigation into cocaine found in White House

The Secret Service on Thursday said its investigation into how cocaine ended up at the White House is now closed without identifying a suspect.

      Why am I not surprised.

“There was no surveillance video footage found that provided investigative leads or any other means for investigators to identify who may have deposited the found substance in this area,” the agency said in a lengthy statement. “Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered. At this time, the Secret Service’s investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence.”

      What a failure.

“The investigation included a methodical review of security systems and protocols,” the agency statement said. “This review included a backwards examination that spanned several days prior to the discovery of the substance and developed an index of several hundred individuals who may have accessed the area where the substance was found. The focal point of these actions developed a pool of known persons for comparison of forensic evidence gleaned from the FBI’s analysis of the substance’s packaging.

“On July 12, the Secret Service received the FBI’s laboratory results, which did not develop latent fingerprints and insufficient DNA was present for investigative comparisons,” the statement said.

And yet the obvious suspect, who has a very public history of drug abuse and can bypass security checkpoints…

Committee chair James Comer, R-Ky., said the discovery raises questions about security at the White House when he requested the briefing in a letter sent to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on July 7.

“This alarming development requires the Committee to assess White House security practices and determine whose failures led to an evacuation of the building and finding of the illegal substance,” Comer wrote.

If “family members” can bypass all that security, that is a BUG security lapse.

The White House has declined to extensively comment on the incident. Jean-Pierre was peppered with questions during a press briefing last week, but only told reporters that Biden had been briefed on the matter and the White House was confident the Secret Service would “get to the bottom of this.”

If a family member was being blackmailed to bring a bomb or poison or a weapon into the white house, knowing full will they can bypass all security… that is BAD!

The fact they have “CLOSED” the investigation without charges against the guilty person is troubling.

Rules for thee, not for me.

Even with a multitude of issues, this film managed to entertain me much more than I expected it to.  Some quick thoughts:

      • The filmmakers were very much aware how Quicksilver in both Days of Future Past and Age of Ultron beat them to the punch and focused on attempting to impress through every other power except the now-dated slow motion.  Opening trip to Gotham still looked fake, but was a really cool concept.
      • Those who complain about the lack of realism of the CGI babies in the opening scene and don’t inform their audience of the context of the Looney Tunes-style set piece are, I feel, being disingenuous in their reviews.  Marvel would never attempt anything close to that brand of comedy.
      • Keaton was underwhelming for the marketing buildup, but who knows how many of his scenes were cut.  It sounds like they had another two hours of footage filmed before crafting a functional plot in editing.
      • There clearly wasn’t a design concept, much less any CGI render, of the time travel sequences until some time this year.  Definitely the worst part of the film, made even worse by the fact that so much depends on it.

If you can’t tolerate Ezra, don’t watch it.  For me, it’s about a 6/10, better than the last Doctor Strange.  Honestly surprised box office is doing this poorly.

WHY, did I watch The Flash?
I watched the Flash, not because I wanted to watch a good movie nor was it to watch a terrible movie. Nope, I watched it because I recognize A.I video rendering when I see it.
I need to make it clear, I cannot use any video clips from the movie or Warner Brothers will Copywrite Claim & potentially block my video. I did however include 2 videos that were created with A.I Video to show you how it looks. If you look up The Flash CGI, you will find the scenes & then you can compare the clips I used & draw your own conclusions. It of course makes sense they would go this route as well since it has been in production hell for such a long time & they just wanted it out & they can move on.
The movie is completely pointless. Nothing actually gets resolved in the end since Barry does not return to his real timeline & is stuck in another parallel reality… I guess to set up a Sequel? lol Michael Keaton was the best part of the movie, but even he seemed to phone it in. Supergirl was an angry emo plot advancement. But the biggest take away is that for every good the movie has, it has a parallel within the same scene that ruins it completely. This was Ezra Miller Flash (annoying) meets Barry Allen Flash (normal person)
I had to re-edit the video to remove the music. I own a license for the music but the Filmora Video Editor, apparently does not allow us to use the music for “Commercial Use” since my video is monetized the artist gets to take the money from the entire clip instead  of the 30 seconds. F that.

Trans-Identified Male Takes MASSIVE Lead Ahead Of Females In Ultra-Distance Cycling Challenge

Cameron Dixon, who now goes by Cara, is one of 13 participants listed in the “women’s” category of the TransAtlanticWay, a cross-country cycling challenge in Ireland. Dixon, who is from Stokesley, England, is currently topping the women’s leaderboard, riding almost 300km (approx. 180 miles) ahead of the next female challenger.

Another day, another male destroying female sports.

At the time of writing, Dixon has already covered 1767km (approx. 1100 miles) of the 2500km (approx. 1550 miles) challenge. The leading female cyclist is Jasmijn Muller of Brecon, Wales.

HE has complete 70% of the race and the next closest competitor in this category has only finished 60%.

If Dixon were performing in the male category, he would be ranked in a tight 4th place.

But then this MALE would not have won, and won as easily as HE does competing against female.

Earlier this year, Dixon took home the women’s prize during the Dirty Reiver gravel race in the United Kingdom, smashing second place by a significant margin.

      By how much?

Dixon’s race time was 1 hour and 18 minutes compared to the top female participant, who finished in 2 hours and 23 minutes. He was the only person in the category to finish in less than 2 hours, and only three female participants finished in less than 3 hours.

Finished at 55% of the time of the closest biological female.

There is no fairness in allowing this farce to continue.

(back in 2022) the governing body had temporarily scrapped their “trans inclusion policy,” which had allowed men to self-identify into female categories. The policy was suspended in order for a comprehensive review to be completed on whether it was fair to the female athletes.

Which allowed Dixon into the races.

…British Cycling decided to ban men competing in female categories after completing their 9-month review in May.

      Horray!

Following the announcement, trans-identified male cyclist Emily Bridges called the move a “violent act” and likened it to contributing to the genocide of transgender people.

While allowing males who call themselves female would otherwise be allowed to commit “violent acts” (like that volleyball player – gave a female a concussion, or the MMA fighter who broke multiple bones on their female opponent), and liking it to the genocide of biological female sports and accomplishments and females feeling safe to change/shower/etc in female ONLY locker rooms.

But the CEO of British Cycling, Jon Dutton, was not deterred, and stood by the decision.

“I am confident that we have developed policies that both safeguard the fairness of cyclesport competition, whilst ensuring all riders have opportunities to participate.”

The new policy is due to come into effect at the end of this year, meaning Dixon will no longer be allowed to participate in women’s cycling.

NO longer and NEVER should have been allowed to compete against biological females in the first place, IMO.

I just hope in the records books at asterisk is placed by Dixon’s name and any other non-biological females, so we can recognized TRUE female records.

IMDb changes ratings after Little Mermaid backlash

Review bombing is a strange aspect of the state of cinema in the Internet age. The term refers specifically to the phenomenon of users posting negative reviews of a film in order to lower its average rating. Review bombers often haven’t seen the film that they’re negatively reviewing…

And what is the term when you get just created accounts and their first/only power gives 100% positive reviews?

      IMDb protects them!

“Our rating mechanism has detected unusual voting activity on this title. To preserve the reliability of our rating system, an alternate weighting calculation has been applied,”

When a movie is SOOOoo bad, and the majority of people dislike the product from a “protected film”, IMDb changes things.  They did it for Brei “cardboard” Larson’s Captain Marvel.  They are doing it again for another Disney film.

“Although we accept and consider all votes received by users, not all votes have the same impact (or ‘weight’) on the final rating. When unusual voting activity is detected, an alternate weighting calculation may be applied in order to preserve the reliability of our system.”

As some people have shown, when they changed it for Captain Marvel, only those that purchased via a site they can verify bought a ticket for that film (if you bought your ticket through a provider like Fandango, AMC, or Cinemark — which all signed up to participate in Rotten Tomatoes’ verification program and signed in with that account), gets to make an audience score (they cannot verify the ticket purchaser ACTUALLY watched the film, or if you paid cash, or where part of a group and only the account that made the payment is considered verified ).

Now they have taken one step further with verified audience scores (those their system accepts) and then after some looking you can find a TOTAL AUDIENCE SCORE.

How exactly IMDb is weighing these reviews, and what considerations are being taken to decide which review is weighted how, is unclear. (In fact, IMDB declines to “disclose the exact method used to generate the rating” in order to “ensure that our rating mechanism remains effective.”)

IMDb is actively censoring the reviews/scores they don’t like to INFLATE the score above what it actually is, IMO.

There is no way that Rotten Tomatoes’ 95% or Metacritic’s 2.1 are accurate reflections of what people are actually saying about this movie in the real world.

Since RT has long been an unreliable scoring site, and I am not familiar with MC, even if we average them out (58%) seems more realistic.  (But I still don’t trust those inflated RT numbers.)

From all the people I know, from their feedback, the MC score is more accurately reflects reality on this film.

There are several ways in which popularity for movies and TV shows can be faked. Here are a few common techniques:

Buying followers and likes: One way to create the appearance of popularity is to buy followers and likes on social media platforms. This can be done by using bots or by hiring people to create fake accounts and interact with posts. While this may boost the numbers, it does not reflect genuine interest in the content.
Inflating view counts: Some websites and services offer to increase the number of views a video or post receives for a fee. This can make it appear as though the content is more popular than it actually is.
Manipulating reviews: Reviews play a significant role in determining the success of a movie or TV show. One way to manipulate this is by paying people to write positive reviews or by creating fake accounts to post positive feedback.
Gaming the rating system: Some rating systems, such as those used by streaming services, can be manipulated by repeatedly rating a show or movie to artificially boost its score.
It is important to note that these practices are unethical and can be detrimental to the integrity of the entertainment industry. Genuine popularity should be based on the quality of the content and the interest of the audience, not on fake metrics.

Just watched this one again after a long time. It’s a unique and fun pirate movie with Gina Davis.  The story is good, the action is good and it’s just fun in general.  Gina plays a bit of a “girl boss” but this is long before woke so while she is a bad a$$ in the movie she remains clearly feminine and is fully a woman.  Actually her decked out in pirate garb is worth watching if for nothing butt :)

Good move and a good watch for the family.

I am going to speak about this STRICTLY from the experiences I’ve had with Anime & the Anime Community.
I like some Anime, my favorites will always be Evangelion, Ninja Scroll, Berserk, Akira, Ganz is also interesting. When I was in high school I also liked reading Ninja Highschool & Vampire X or something like that. Shinji Ito is a legend. So I do like Anime & I am not an anti. But I also don’t dedicate a lot of time to watch it.
Storytelling is KING & anime does it in a way that we will never see in Movies, Western Entertainment is far too safe & far too politically fuel & over dominated by self referencing millennials & soon Zoomers (oh God)
Now when it comes to the community, F*CK THEM COMPLETELY! I have never dealt with a more entitled & immature group of people in my life. I despise the community so much that if a NON ASIAN person contacts  me or replies or whatever to a tweet, if they are American Males or Canadian males with anime avatars, especially of little girls (the little  girl ones I usually block after looking over their profiles because  they are usually the stupidest of the  stupid with the most either overly political or current thing pushers) I don’t know what it is about those ones in particular but they unsettle  me lol. Discussing things with the community, if you don’t agree with them, is like arguing with a far leftist that has every flag & booster shot available.
I remember a few months ago, I said that Loli-Porn is Child Porn lite. My reasoning was because they look like children, sound like children & act like children. Also keep in mind, I am Canadian, in Justine Turdeau’s Canada Loli-Porn IS Child Porn. Anything that is fake  including Age play is ILLEGAL in Canada if it plays or acts like a child in a sexual situation/setting. BRO! I got ratioed so bad, 100s of retweets, 1000s of comments all telling me I was the 1 that saw it as CP & I am the 1 that has a perverted view. I know many were also trolling me.
I made a Movie Review video of Akira after a  friend requested it as a Christmas present to him. It took me 2 months to give in & do it because I didn’t want Anime Community members to come to my channel & start making requests to review more Anime. See a Genre’s community can absolutely sour ones experience  & subsequent view on certain things.
So instead now I watch my Anime in private lol.
Anime has demonic tones & stories, what people don’t get is that SO DO AMERICAN MOVIES & SHOWS. They think because it has demonic tones that it is demonic & promotes Satanism. It doesn’t. There is usually a Good guy in the story that challenges that evil or the IP shows you the outcome of a world that is overtaken & dominated by evil.
The other thing is, unfortunately they are cartoons & “Sophisticated” people see it a lesser genre or art form. But they do love the Simpsons & Family Guy or South Park. When are confronted by that, they say: “It’s different because it’s delivering a message or social commentary on things going on!” (turns nose upwards  at you) But that is also what Anime does, but it’s generally not OUR politics of ideologies they target ;)

(Side-note, I am against Community Think in general, including gaming & art communities, be your own person!)
        That’s my take.

Anyone else old enough to remember this short lived cartoon?  I posted about it on the forum months ago looking for it because I recalled the plot being so wild and awesome.

I have found copies of both seasons and I am about to delve into them.

I think this series could easily be a movie or another series.  The main plot is fantastic and futuristic.  It’s that humans genetically engineered a slave class and use them as such.  The whole idea is that this class of human hybrid is fighting for it’s freedom from humans.

          Super interesting and thought provoking.

Was not going to make a thread on this, but Eric July and Odin both talked about it. Sean Patrick Flanery from Boondock Saints and Powder delivers a truly amazing performance in this movie. Some compare it to Anthony Hopkins in Silence of The Lambs and say that his character is much like Screwtape from C.S. Lewis. Also, I have not seen The Pope’s Exorcist yet and heard that Russell Crowe did an interview with Critical Drinker.

This Nefarious film left an impression and makes a person think. Also, it would inspire some of you that make short films because it shows what can be done with solid acting and writing and almost no budget. Really, this could have been a play. It was almost all dialogue and monologue. In that sense, this movie may end up being fairly influential.

‘Rather than getting bogged down — like every other movie — in diabolical phenomena and power, this one brings the viewer into the demonic mind …’

A criminal awaiting execution gets a last-minute reprieve when a court order sends a psychiatrist to examine if he is trying to avoid the death penalty with his behavior. The doctor finds he is a demon who wants to be executed, leading to an edge-of-the-seat battle of good against evil.

On the day of his scheduled execution, a convicted serial killer (Flanery, The Boondock Saints) gets a last-minute, court-ordered psychiatric evaluation. The killer astonishes visiting psychiatrist Dr. James Martin (Belfi, Entourage) by insisting that instead of trying to avoid his execution, he is in fact a demon—Nefarious—who wants his execution to go forward.

Nefarious further predicts that before the day is out, the doctor will have committed three murders of his own. As a storm gathers outside the prison, Nefarious chips away at Dr. Martin’s resolve and conviction, confounding and unsettling him so much that he begins to doubt his own sanity and fears for his life.

As the two face off, they deliver crackling energy and a series of disturbing preternatural revelations propelling them to an inexorable, astounding conclusion.

About the movie, the directors explain: “There are monsters, and they are very, very real…inspired by Steve Deace’s invention of a master demon named ‘Lord Nefarious’, we began to wonder what it would look like if someone sat down to have a conversation with such a demon. And what it would sound like, if — for reasons of his own — that demon decided to speak the absolute truth, from his point of view. What would be the dynamics of that? That’s what this movie is about.”

‘Nefarious’ (2023) Review – A Thought-Provoking Supernatural Horror Exercise In Morality

What if I were to tell you that this is a Christian film within the horror genre? Some of you may react negatively because one of the biggest criticisms about modern Christian films is that the portrayals of real life are so overwhelmingly uplifting that it borders on parody.

It is rare to see a Christian film or even a modern Christian sermon that covers the topic of sin. Whenever anyone shines a light on the evils that consume our world every day, people tend to get uncomfortable in the face of defined definitions of right and wrong.

          In reply to: Jesus Revolution

Would say that it is more of a Drama about faith, but there’s no mockery, in my opinion and I went into the movie expecting an agenda. There was no overt agenda in the movie at all and it was just good characters, good acting and it had a positive message. The suspicions about this movie are mis-spent, as there is nothing implied nor insinuated either. I saw one reviewer say that he would not necessarily agree with Chuck and Lonnie’s teachings, but he agreed that the film was good. I thought it was good and probably would have been offended if it was a mockery thing. I would pay to see it again and was even tempted to.

I did not see “I Can Only Imagine” nor “American Underdog” either. Not sure why this one hooked me. I think it was just the name Lonnie Frisbee, which I had not heard before, but I had vaguely heard of Pastor Chuck Smith and Greg Laurie. The movie is also a biopic of Greg Laurie and his wife. I think the filmmakers had their core characters and just made a good minimalist movie around the core group. Also, because of the rumors, I went to see this almost to test them, expecting insults and blasphemy, but instead, I saw a good movie and left the theater really slugged emotionally, but in a good way.

Went into this out of curiosity and not expecting much and it was a very well made movie. I see it in kind of the same category as  Forrest Gump or Dazed and Confused.  Kelsey Grammer from Frasier plays Pastor Chuck Smith, who sees protest footage of hippies and thinks he needs to minister to hippies. He spoke in jest about it to his wife while watching TV. His daughter picks up a street preacher named Lonnie Frisbee.

There is an incredible scene with an actor who plays Timothy Leary and delivers the “Turn on, tune in, drop out” speech. The Timothy Leary character is presented like a Shaman or a Wizard or Merlin, who speaks about the divine and getting in touch with the cosmos, the soul and with God and then, he lifted his hands to the sky and a plane flies over the crowd at a Janis Joplin concert and drops blotter acid papers over the fans.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn_on%2C_tune_in%2C_drop_out

In 1969, a staid yet respected Southern California pastor, Chuck Smith, finds that his church is slowly dying with an inability to connect with the younger, live-free generation of hippies. One day, his daughter gives a ride to a colorful hippie hitchhiker named Lonnie Frisbee, who says he is traveling around and telling people about the Ministry of Jesus. Smith, at first suspicious of Frisbee, eventually warms to him and welcomes other hippies to his house. They join forces and start a successful movement to evangelize hippies and others.

Meanwhile, high-school student Greg Laurie runs away from his junior ROTC class and joins a girl named Cathe who “turns him on” to a rock concert featuring Timothy Leary preaching the value of drugs for self-discovery. However, Greg sees that various hippies are dangerously irresponsible; Cathe’s sister gets sick from a drug overdose. Greg and Cathe find solace at Smith and Lonnie’s ministry, though Cathe’s uptight parents are not enthusiastic about Greg.

The ministry explodes in popularity, being seen as a “Jesus Revolution” or “Jesus freaks”, and even sparking a Time magazine cover in 1971. However, Lonnie becomes egotistical and eventually splits with Smith, though they reconcile later on. Greg offers to take over a ministry branch in Riverside, and eventually marries Cathe and becomes a famous pastor himself. Smith and Frisbee are remembered as founders of the widespread Calvary Chapel movement, and more generally as leaders in the Jesus movement.

This movie did a very good job at capturing the era and at showing how young people could be caught in the crossfire if media lies, the psychedelic marketing psyop color revolution and religion. I liked how they youth explored their minds and souls and were told to keep digging and some of them arrived at a church conclusion. I found it interesting and I am saying this as kind of an unchurched person.

          Screenshot 2023-03-05 at 15-52-23 Jesus-movement-3085934943 (JPEG Image 322 × 391 pixels)

This movie would probably appeal more to a hippie type person than a religious person. Also, being relatively low budget, I think filmmakers would appreciate some of the scenes like the Baptism scene and the scene where Greg is overdosing in traffic and ends up talking on the lawn with Lonnie Frisbee. There was also a lot of drama, but it was almost a Hallmark channel movie featuring a young couple that is seeking answers to truth and what is real and ends up finding love.

Faith films were not really on my radar prior to this. I saw one called The Grace Card that was just ok. Missed FireProof. Missed I Still Believe about Jeremy Camp. Saw For Greater Glory and that one was good, and the other one I saw that was pretty good was Infidel. This movie Jesus Revolution is one that I liked and it came with some salacious gossip and controversy because Lonnie Frisbee died of AIDS and there is rumor he was gay, but it’s mired in controversy because he wrote three books and never admitted to this.  So, this film actually takes a lot of incoming fire from the right because there is speculation that they are trying to normalize gay pastors, but that was not in the film at all. Also, tennis player Arthur Ashe died of AIDS and he was supposedly not gay, so who knows what was going on during that time.

I enjoyed this movie very much. It was well made with some solid directing and some memorable scenes. It was not sappy and it was not cheesy, but it was a bit emotional enough to hit you right in the feels. It made me think of other Faith Films that could be made, like maybe one about Keith Green or Hal Lindsey or Asbury Revivals or Jack Chick.  In a way, the movie kind of inspired me in that it was this movie that makes me now take the Faith Film genre seriously.

Kind of disappointed in John Campea and other reviewers that were too scared to watch and review this. It’s not a preachy movie. It’s more of a romance drama historical era piece. I recommend the film.
