Like classic movies, older games have a unique charm that makes them incredibly enjoyable. Their simplicity, paired with creative design and challenging gameplay, offers an experience that modern games often lack. Titles like Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda focus more on pure fun rather than advanced graphics or complex mechanics. Playing these classics evokes a sense of nostalgia, taking us back to a time when gaming was straightforward and heartfelt. Sometimes, less is truly more, and older games are a perfect example of this timeless appeal. Hotel Master is an engaging and fun simulation game that puts you in charge of managing a hotel. The gameplay in this browser game https://say.games/en/casual/hotel-master is simple yet addictive, as you handle guest requests, manage rooms, and upgrade your facilities. The graphics are vibrant, and the mechanics are easy to learn, making it perfect for casual gaming sessions. It’s a great choice for anyone who enjoys time management or simulation games. However, the lack of deeper strategic elements might make it repetitive for more hardcore gamers. Still, it’s an enjoyable and relaxing experience overall.

    Squirrels, too.
    Raccoons, too.

Mainly, it was good to see Entertainers and Media figures lose. The actors are the real privileged class in this country. They are so privileged, that they don’t know what it is like for regular works, employers, etc. Goes the same for media. Was listening to Ann Coulter on Chrissie Mayr and she said a lot of the exchanges on TV are scripted and you get paid tons of money for saying responses on talking points and that is their job. The actors in media are paid to recite lines, like the Avengers cast. They are not necessarily people. They are borderline paid mercenaries that will lie to you for a paycheck.

One thing you are right about is just having developers make fun games. Just for the love of gaming. Zelda, Pitfall, etc. had no politics or social commentary whatsoever. It was just geeks and nerds making great games. It’s really a shame what happened to that and to think that industry passed movies and they still decided to destroy it with influencer pressure to conform to globalism.

Was listening to someone talk about Natalie Portman. She said her kids do not know any movie stars, but know a lot of youtubers. The streamers and podcasters are filling a void left by tyranny and dictatorship in entertainment and media.

My Early Christmas Gift, A NINTENDO SWITCH OLED and GAMES HAUL.
Are you looking for a gift for that Boomer Gamer in your life but don’t know what to get him? Chances are, he grew up with a Nintendo of some sort. All you have to do is ask him, “Hey Boomer, did you like Mario when you were roaming with the Dinosaurs?” if he says Yes, get him a Nintendo Switch. Right now Game Stop Canada (not sponsored) has a holiday bundle: Nintendo Switch OLED with Smash Bros Ultimate with 3 months of Nintendo online which will give him access to NES, SNES & GameBoy games plus discounts & online play all for 450$ or non OLED with Mario Kart Ultimate (that’s the 1 I wanted but they did not have it with the OLED) for 400$ Use code Giggavega to get 0% discount, sweet deal huh? You could even get it for people that like to pretend to be gamers, like Girls, they can play with Princess Peach lol (relax, I’m probably joking) I’ve been playing Playstation & Xbox games for so long, I forgot what it was like to hear “WAHOO!” “It’s A-Me, Super Mario!” “Let’s A-Go!” It was so good to play such purely fun games.
At least with official Nintendo Licensed games we don’t have  to worry about any ESG Bullshivism. The switch is region free So even if they start forcing ESG garbage into their Western versions, you can always just buy the Japanese version & hope there is either an English dub with Yong Yea or at least English subtitles. I’m not going to get into the whole Square Enix ESG BS right now.

So to end on a positive note, here are the 3 games I got: Super Mario RPG (I’ll include my gameplay in a reply) Super Mario Odyssey & Super Smash Bros Ultimate (bundled with the Nintendo Switch Oled) My next Mario Purchase will be Mario Kart because YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT! Then Bayonetta 2 & 3 followed by the first Switch Zelda game & maybe Metroid Dread. Man, honestly, I haven’t been this exited to play games in YEARS!
Come back for more games & Nintendo stuff soon. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas & Thank YOU for watching.

“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” is really fantastic It’s a memorable gaming experience thanks to the engaging storyline, stunning visuals, and nostalgic callbacks to the previous games in the series.

Exciting Nintendo Direct announcements I’m really looking forward to the new games, especially Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. The developments have piqued my interest in the future of Nintendo gaming.

Sure, here’s my video game collection! It contains oldies like as Mario and Zelda, as well as contemporary hits such as The Witcher 3 and Overwatch. Always on the search for new treasures

It’s nice you have an opinion, but to say “Playstation is a crap platform and we should all move forward with boycotting to another console” is childish. In fact, the majority of your post sounds like a 10 yr old wrote it. Attacking “PS fanboys” over and over, when you sound like the same thing you are attacking by doing so.

To say PS fanboys are delusional. I could say the exact same thing about the PC Master Race, Nintendo Fanboys, and Xbox Fanboys. There is “toxic” people in ALL platforms.

You claim PS takes advantage of their customers, but so does Microsoft and Nintendo. I would go so far as to say Microsoft is trying to manipulate the entire industry by buying up studios.

You don’t like censorship, no one does. But other companies have had censorship too. Since Sony’s move to California they have adopted some stupid mild censorship, yes, no one likes it. But Nintendo used to be the kings of censorship not long ago. Maybe you don’t recall the blood and gore being removed from Mortal Kombat 2 on Super Nes. I do. But, times change. So will this. There is also the fact that you can buy and play the Japanese or China version of a game and still play it, if you don’t like the censorship for USA. I’ve done it many times.

If PS was a crap platform, it wouldn’t sell so well. It wouldn’t have been so sought after during the shortages and scalping. It at least has games to play and enjoy, I can’t say the same with Xbox this gen. PS has games like Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima (which imo is the best game on any platform), Last of Us, God of War, etc. What is there on Xbox? Nothing. Most of the recent Xbox games were just bad, and released broken. Yes, Starfield is coming out, but I am not buying an entire consoles just for ONE game.

Nintendo lost me LONG ago when the Wii came out, I quit then. My Gamecube was the last Nintnedo product I bought, and I loved the Gamecube. I’m not interested in the same few series over and over. I’m not interested in dated graphics, gimmick controllers and devices, or handheld gaming. Sure, games like the newer Zelda game might be great, but they look like something from 10 years ago. I am not interested in all the social/multiplayer stuff Nintendo does. I like to game alone.

The Xbox One X was a clunky mess. I actually hated the XOneX, mine sets in the closet now next to my PS4 Pro. My PS4, and then PS4 Pro were used nearly daily in contrast. I can now say the same with my PS5. It’s a fantastic console and I continually game on it. My XOneX crashed multiple times just using the Dashboard UI, continually overheated playing Borderlands 3, and was just VERY clunky. It was a frankly bland and unenjoyable console. Nothing like that has ever happened on my PS4 or PS5. The last two gens of Xbox have just not done well. I loved my X360 Elite though, but those days are long gone. So, I am not interested in a X Series X.

I am not a “fanboy” because I like my PS5 or because there is much more to play and enjoy on a PS for me than a Xbox, or a Switch.

I don’t know what you were trying to accomplish with your post, but it comes off as childish and nasty frankly. Maybe try to word things better and not attack an entire fanbase in the process best time.

“Tetris” for its everlasting appeal, “The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening” for adventure, and “Super Mario Land” for classic platforming fun are my top Nintendo Game Boy picks.

    #303183

Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Earthbound would be on my Nintendo Mount Rushmore. These are all classic games that have endured the test of time and are still appreciated by players of all ages.

While this thread is about Don Bluth’s films, I just want to announce something.

In my opinion, Don Bluth is like Hayo Miyazaki; the last of the dead art hand drawn animation stylist. His last movie was Titan A.E. and it was awesome, but there’s so much I haven’t seen. He came to my home town in El Paso which I had no idea, is the same he grew up in or was born in, I can’t remember. Anyway, got the honor to meet him and its been 12 years since he did anything and its been hard for him. He has a university in Arizona that teaches hand drawn art and animation. I talked to somebody there asking about his latest project he’s been wanting to do for 30 years; his dream called Dragon’s Lair. If you remember the arcade back then, you should be familiar with the idea. He did an Indiegogo campaign and it made a good amount of money, like $700,000 dollars, it wasn’t even close to his goal to make the movie, like $35 million is what I’m told he needs to make the movie. He was only able to do pitch ideas. They look amazing but nobody would fund his project. Covid hit and they couldn’t continue during the lockdowns which was a major blow but even so, he contacted many companies, MGM, Sony, etc. Nobody was willing to pay that much for it. So rather than dropping the project, he decided to offer something and I can understand if its to get somewhere. Anyway, I saw an article I think and it asked if the movie should be 3D animation and I voted no because it would defeat the purpose of it being a Don Bluth film. Its nothing without his magic. So instead of either, Netflix will be making a live action of Dragon’s Lair. Don’t know when it’ll happen but that’s what we’re getting. I fear and said it’ll bomb big time but I could be wrong, as long as its not woke or even a mediocre film. What feels so hard to reach is something I want to help Don achieve before he passes away; one last good ol’ fashion classic hand drawn 2D animated film and that’s Dragon’s Lair. It is such a long shot and it may not happen but I at least will try with cryptocurrency trading as best I can. I’d be lucky to have Elon Musk donate half the money needed for the film.

Anime is the biggest trend in cartoons that isn’t woke and Hayo Miyazaki is going strong with his legendary work of hand drawn animation, I would like to have what we used to have years ago return. I don’t want hand drawn 2D art to die. Anyone interested in learning and keeping the concept going, see if you’re interested in attending to Don Bluth’s University. But in the meantime, let’s reflect on his amazing movies. I haven’t seen it all but I remember Sword in the Stone a long time ago along with An American Tail and The Land Before Time. Not too long ago, my town hosted Secret of Nymh in the theater and it was amazing. I remember Titan A.E. and that was his last work but it was pretty awesome as well. I haven’t seen The Black Cauldron and I’m sure there’s more. But please share your experiences, memories, recommendation and what you would like to see rise up from Don Bluth’s magic. I’d like to see the Zelda series made in 2D animation. It’d be like Sword in the Stone vibe.

Alright, so when I see folks talk about or make videos on the top 5 or top 10 NES titles, Crystalis sometimes gets overlooked, whilst considering the fact that it is factually a superior game to Zelda. Before you grab the pitch forks, let me explain. I like Zelda and Crystalis, they’re both easily top five NES. I owned both as a kid even. But if we do a realistic break down comparison, Crystalis wins head to head.

    1. Graphics – While graphics aren’t everything, as we all well know, Crystalis offered more sprite by sprite textures than Zelda did.

    2. Movement- Crystalis had 8 directional movement, while Zelda only had 4. In say a turn based game, that doesn’t matter, but in the realms of action RPGs, added movement is added freedom.

    3. Bigger World – The world of Crystalis not only looked but also felt bigger than Zelda. It didn’t feel like panels on a grid, but had more of an open feel over all that made exploration more rewarding as well as more fluid, without the need for transitions.

    4. More Characters – Self explanatory. More characters added immersion and bulked up the stakes when it comes to the “save the world” plot. It’s hard to care much for a world with only 3 named characters (Zelda, Gannon and Link) versus one with entire villages and cultures at risk from the villainous schemes. I mean really, what am I protecting in Zelda other than the princess and some old, rusty hermits living under bushes?

    5. Consequences – Characters actually died in Crystalis, so the weight of the situation had more substantial pull to it.

    6. Music – The Legend of Zelda has memorable music and the nostalgia factor behind it, granted. However, by comparison, Crystalis not only had more tracks than Zelda, but most of them were actually quite good. And they were full songs too, not just 30-40 second loops, for the most part.

    7. Epic Mount – You can ride and fight on the back of a dolphin in Crystalis. Nuff said.

    8. Trail Blazers – SNK, the company who made Crystalis, pushed the NES hardware to it’s limits, a daring move which, when it all came together paid off big time.

In conclusion, Zelda was a little easier to get into, had the popularity factor and a pimp gold cartridge. But with all that being said, in the side by side UFC stats chart, Crystalis wins, bar none. So while I think Zelda does deserve a place in the NES top 5 for sure, if Zelda is 2 for instance, Crystalis should and will forever be number 1. At the least, in this man’s book.

PS Before anyone mentions it, yes I’m aware that Crystalis was made four years after Zelda, but I stand where I stand.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you all think.

Despite both my kids having Switches, I have not played either of these games. From watching along so far (over 30 minutes into the first video) it reminds me a ton of Skyward Sword, in the art, sound, and feel.  I never finished Skyward Sword (it got long in the tooth), but I really liked the aesthetics of it.  Obviously the gameplay is a lot different, as Skyward Sword was old formula Zelda.  The complete power and inventory  reset there at the start feels exactly like every Metroid sequel.  :)

    Come join us as we watch @Roas aka Adam The Renaissance Nerd play this game;

Nice to see it is fun. But, not really interested in seeing it in the theatre. My interest died when the Gamecube was done. I loved Nintendo once, but when the Wii came out, which I thought was utter gimmicky garbage, that died. Nothing has changed my mind much since. Some day I may get a Switch dirt cheap just to play the past few Zelda games and a new Metroid whenever that actually comes out. Maybe by then yet another console that is low rez and gimmicky will come out. But, that’s about all I care about with Nintendo. I have zero interest in mario kart or smash bros because I hate racing and social type games. I used to love Zelda games though, and Metroid.

I’ll watch the movie when it comes to streaming and probably enjoy it for what it is.
