Am I the only one noticing that it appears many things seem to be spreading to almost solely young women?  Have you noticed how many young ladies have mental issues or grapple with their bodies or sexuality?

I honestly believe that for whatever reasons there are, women in their early 20’s and below are catching each others mental ailments through social media.  I have seen several videos on this that hark back to some early studies that make this exact case.

It seems to be a complete epidemic as far as I can tell.

Depression, ticks, anxiety, body or gender dysmorphia and even sexual orientation seem to very contagious among young women.

I find this very concerning and I do believe this is part of the war on women.

Social media in it’s current form needs to die as I feel it is massively unhealthy and unintentionally can spread social ailments.

Here is one such video on the topic but there are a good many if you look. Read the first comment on the video.

I believe this is probably happening because we ladies are- sadly- more easier to manipulate than men are when it comes to this sort of thing. I’ve noticed that it’s mainly women screaming about this sort of thing than men.

Body dysmorphia. Believe me, men have it too. This was ongoing before social media with magazine covers. The top youth these days know all the tricks with the filters and the airbrushing to touch up the photos, so that they can look perfect on digital. It’s become kind of a joke that the picture is not what you get.

What bums me out more though is when they get lip injections or butt injections. Once any person goes down the road of Nip/Tuck cosmetic surgery, they are just carving up what talent they were given.

I met a guy who’s dad told him to move to Florida for tax and income reasons and the guy made me laugh by saying he would never go there because everyone he met was on steroids and meth in order to get that perfect body.

There was a time when, on the guy side, everyone wanted to look like Arnold, Sly, Shannon Sharpe or Bo Jackson. That was something that John Cena said, was that he was motivated by superheroes in the comic books or professional wrestling or Conan The Barbarian.

What is unfortunate is that some are autistic or OCD from whatever causes and the media bombardment of the pursuit of perfection leads to kind of a waste of time vain fixation. That being said, I think I prefer the health and fitness to the slob models they have now.

Oh agreed for sure but what is going on seems to be affecting young ladies far more ratio wise as I see it. And I think @DragonLady is right.  I believe for whatever the reasons are women seem more manipulated by this stuff. In fact I am not sure they are not being targeted by it intentionally.  Again, I fully believe there is a war on women going on.

” everyone he met was on steroids and meth in order to get that perfect body”

Holy hell people take meth to get thin I assume?  That’s insane.  I cannot imagine a more unhealthy thing to do.

I really find this war on ladies sad and it makes me very angry for 2 reasons.  1) women are cheering on the war against them in many cases 2) Men are also cheering it on because it happened to to us  first. Both sexes need to wake up and defend each other and realize this is not a battle for supremacy but for existence.

This comes down to 2 very accurate stereotypes: most women want comfort and sympathy, while most men want to look tough, enphasis on MOST, ’cause there’ll always be exeptions

So while a woman might be enticed to purge out every little detail about her issues in a “supportive” enviroment, a man will most likely keep his problems to himself or to a close few trusted people and only come out when/if he feels ready and sure what’s going on

Also there’s a 3rd factor to take into consideration, i’m sure there are women who are easily manipulated, but there are just as many woman who are manipulative cunts, aka faking mental issues and sexuality for attention

So this is a great point.  Because if we say these things are contagious that bakes in 2 assumptions. First, the illness is not real for the most part and second that there are people putting out fake illness for attention, money or what have you.

And I have seen studies and talks about how there are many people on sites like TikTok who pretend to have mental illness for many reasons.  The attention they get is picked up on by others and it spreads for that reason and many others.  I honestly believe this is going on with mental illness and even sexuality which is why a huge chunk of gen Z is something other than straight.

Here is an example about the mental illness part.
