The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior Cast in Guardians 3

After Deadline exclusively reported it, James Gunn confirmed in a tweet that actress Daniela Melchior has been cast in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

The two previously worked together on Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, in which Melchior played Ratcatcher II. Melchior responded with her own tweet sharing her enthusiasm at joining the Guardians family.

Will Poulter was previously cast as Adam Warlock. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will be the last appearance of the original team together and premieres in theaters on May 5th, 2023.
I don’t have terribly strong feelings about this until we learn more about Melchior’s character. I thought she was good in The Suicide Squad, even though I thought the film itself was just okay. I’m very excited for the next Guardians movie, and very nervous, thanks to some of Gunn’s comments surrounding it. It’s nice that he and Daniela Melchior have developed such a friendship from working together. Regardless of what mysterious role she plays, I’m sure she’ll do fine.
