UK probing if allergic reactions linked to Pfizer vaccine

LONDON — British regulators warned Wednesday that people who have a history of serious allergic reactions shouldn’t receive the new Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine as they investigate two adverse reactions that occurred on the first day of the country’s mass vaccination program.

Oh! REALLY!

The U.K.’s Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency is looking into whether the reactions were linked to the vaccine. The two people affected were staff members with the National Health Service who had a history of allergies, and both are recovering. Authorities have not specified what their reactions were.

And why was this not tested for before approval? Oh yay, it was rushed through,

In the meantime, the regulator has issued the warning for anyone who has had a significant allergic reaction to a vaccine, medicine or food. That includes anyone who has been told to carry an adrenaline shot or others who have had potentially fatal allergic reactions.

And…

The medical regulatory agency also said vaccinations should not be carried out in facilities that don’t have resuscitation equipment.

Not a good sign.

Late-stage trials of the vaccine found “no serious safety concerns,” the companies said. More than 42,000 people have received two doses of the shot during those trials.

“In the pivotal phase three clinical trial, this vaccine was generally well tolerated with no serious safety concerns reported by the independent Data Monitoring Committee,” the companies said.

I would like to know what those “no serious safety concerns” are. What safety concerns WERE discovered?

Oh, and in the EU, someone “accidentally” twitted the cost they are paying for this medical products.

I forgot if it was 18 euros per dose, or if that was in USD.

The EU price list for COVID-19 vaccines was leaked.

According to the published price list, the Belgian government paid €12, or US$14.7 per dose to purchase just over five million shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Prices subsequently ranged from the cheapest of €1.78 for AstraZeneca’s vaccine to Moderna’s which is the most expensive and priced at US$18.

I’m pretty sure the COVID vaccine will be fine. I think most of this is the media trying to downplay Trump’s victory in getting the vaccine out before the end of the year by making the vaccine seem dangerous

There are serious concerns that the vaccine could cause infertility in women (and possibly blokes, too. Wouldn’t risk finding out). This isn’t even debated, discussed or disputed – You so much as breathe this possibility on mainstream sites like YouTube, twitter or Facebook it gets yeeted faster than a fat skydiver with a faulty parachute (Sargon had this video on his YouTube channel and it got it got taken down in less than a week – And he’s one of the less controversial political commentators (he’s basically LibRight and closer to the center than others)). You have to wonder wonder why exactly they’re coming down so hard on this particular concern when they “fact-check” on others.

They’ll be introducing it to over-50’s for the first year or two: People who are already infertile or at that stage of their lives where they’re not planning to have any(more) children anyway. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s to lull people into a false sense of security (“See? Grandma and Grandad are fine. Perfectly safe).”

There is no reason for anyone under the age of 50 to have this vaccine, especially if they’re healthy and to them COVID is nothing more than just a bad case of the flu which they’ll recover from without incident. The government is unlikely to kick down your door and force it on you: More likely they’ll just keep you under lockdown conditions and prevent you from traveling until you do get it.

I am denying the vaccine, I work in health care. Not interested in having rushed products that we do not know the long term effects of injected into my body.

I am also healthy and have no health problems, so frankly don’t need it anyway. This entire thing is over-hyped imo and used to create fear and more power for politicians…as usual. Most the people I see getting bad are people who are obese, diabetes, cardiac issues, etc and other health problems that are half the time their OWN fault they have. Yes, there is personal responsibility in your health. Being healthy is a partial cure, not eating junk food with no exercise and then wondering why you got covid ending up in the ICU. If you are a couch whale and get sick…then it’s your own fault buddy.
