So I heard today Alan Wake is getting a remaster….why?

I got this back in the day on the 360 and absolutely loved it, years later I’ve replayed on the PC and it’s even crisper but today the character models are dated which is the only criticism I can say but it was made for the 360 and back then most of the power went to the environmental effects.

Your wandering into a dark forest, the air around sounds like the forest breathing, someone is watching you…stalking you.

That’s what it felt like playing this game and that farm battle ground…awesome.

Why is this getting a remaster instead of just porting to new platforms? I dunno but my first worry is they are going to retcon some shit and the other worry, it seems Remedy Games is working with Epic Games…

I have Steam, GOG Galaxy, Origin & Uplay, I buy most of my games on GOG or Steam and I’ve only used Origin to save my old CD Keys and get the digital version, I only have Uplay because they tried to force me to use it to play games I got on Steam and in time I just stopped using it because it was too annoying.

I don’t want Epic and if Remedy does an exclusively deal I won’t buy.

I may be wrong on this because I’ve only heard through others, but a game came out within the past few years that you find out is in the Alan Wake universe.

I did hear about the DLC for Control that opens up links to Alan Wake.

I haven’t played Control but I think they are trying to revive Alan Wake because years ago they never got the funding needed to make Alan Wake 2 like they planned.
