A few days ago on the news, a Christian woman complained to her school about a Pride event that her son had been forced into attending. She didn’t know anything about it until she read about it in the paper and has spent the last few years trying to sue the school because the school was going against her religious beliefs. The woman had nothing against the LGBT+ community but she didn’t like the idea of her kid (then but round about 5 years old or something like that) learning about it at a young age. Sadly this is a thing that’s starting to become quite common here in the UK with parents- regardless of their religion- are having to take their kids out of school because of this nonsense.
The whole thing is very authoritarian to me. Maybe it all started with equality but it has long moved on to controlling the population. I mean all someone has to do to shut someone up is say they are anti-whatever and whether it is true or not that person is vilified. This is all about control, censorship and indoctrination into the state approved ideology.
Sometimes I wonder if this is what happened in Germany. “Oh so you are ok with the Jews?!, WRONG THINK!” Maybe Germany wasn’t a hateful population so much as a scared and or docile one. Clearly there was some hatred based on WW1 and what happened after but maybe most folks were scared to say something. Just like they are now in the West.
