Thank you Odin!
Is anyone gonna mention how everyone praises James Cameron’s “unique world” but he stole animal noises directly from Skywalker Sound’s work on Jurassic Park? That giant cat-like thing in the movie sounds exactly like a T-Rex at multiple and the horses or whatever they ride sound like velociraptors. It was very distracting.
The final film is a safe, sterilized compromise between Cameron and producers compared to his original vision. Despite having all the same major plot and character elements as the theatrical version, his early drafts are greatly improved by virtue of being set in a much richer universe.

Stephen Lang was the only good thing in that film.
Terrible movie. The story was horrendous. Flashy and pretty, no argument there, but there was so much cringe. Who was it that said it Avatar was the most successful, terrible movie in history? Might have been Critical Drinker. Inclined to agree with him.
When I first watched it, I went in rooting for the humans, cause I knew the movie was gonna try and manipulate me into rooting for the cat people. When I came out, I still wished the humans won.
Hi all from New Zealand. I quite liked Avatar even with it’s derivative story. Not sure how Cameron will sustain the story over so many sequels.
New Zealand has let in many film crew for Avatar sequels and they have already served about 1 week of their 2 week quarantine so should be getting back into production soon.
No new corona cases for 21 days and no active cases either. Fingers crossed it stays that way, heading back to live sport this weekend!
Hope everyone is safe and well where ever you are.
The problem is, they waited too long to do a sequel. I think all the Avatar hype lost it’s edge back around 2015 at the latest.
Another James Cameron epic.
Oh it is, I just don’t think it’s Cameron’s best, I’m a T2 dude
If it was a great movie, I would’ve watched it multiple times since my first viewing, like I have with movies that I consider great. I’ve watched Avatar twice. So, I guess that sums it up for me.
I do what I can!
Indeed. And he will try and push 3D again…I hate that
Odin is wrong, again
You are all wrong. It was great.
