Did Joe Biden really say that the 2022 election could be ‘illegitimate’?
At Wednesday’s press conference, President Joe Biden was asked a simple question. It was this: “Speaking of voting rights legislation, if this isn’t passed, do you still believe the upcoming election will be fairly conducted and its results will be legitimate?”
And his reply?
“Well, it all depends on whether or not we’re able to make the case to the American people that some of this is being set up to try to alter the outcome of the election. … I think if, in fact — no matter how hard they make it for minorities to vote, I think you’re going to see them willing to stand in line and — and defy the attempt to keep them from being able to vote. I think you’re going to see the people who they’re trying to keep from being able to show up, showing up and making the sacrifice that needs to make in order to change the law back to what it should be.”
So, if the case that the people won’t follow the horrible dem platform and horrible attempts to ignore the border, the economy, inflation, etc…
Biden course corrects — “Oh, 2022” — then gives what is, at best, a confusing answer. He uses an odd phrasing — “I’m not going to say it’s going to be legit” — and then directly links the legitimacy of the 2022 election to getting major voting reform legislation passed at the federal level. Legislation, it’s worth noting, that has no chance of passing before the 2022 election.
In plain english, if the dems lose, they have already set the seeds of doubt that it is not a legitimate election.
But if the somehow win, then it was by the number of ballots they (and their agents) counted as for the dems.
And the war of words over “the fight is about who COUNTS the votes”.
Political observers from BOTH parties to be present for ALL counts. The dems can’t have that!
They can’t have election transparency and election integrity.
They can’t make last minute changes to election laws/rules by people who do NOT have the authority to do so.
They can’t stand that the Constitution is in their way of permanent power.
