Breaking: Life wins as Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade

In a historic decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has overturned its controversial Roe v. Wade opinion, which established a constitutional right to abortion in 1973.

“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case concerning a Mississippi law that, with few exceptions, bans abortions after 15 weeks.

“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division,” Alito wrote.

    Good news, indeed.

The pop culture war is about to get alot uglier, my friends.

This is going to break the minds of the SJWs, virtue signalers, and woketards.

They are going to become more vicious than ever before and their attacks on us will be incredibly vile in attempts to bait us all into saying stuff they will try to use to get us canceled.

We need to be smarter and more careful in how we react to them, because we are going to keep winning and need to be able to stay on the field and fight.

Have each other’s backs, think before you say things, and remember they are insane and you are normal.

Regardless of anyone’s feeling on this matter, there is one thing that is true.

To demand rights, tolerance and understanding without being willing to extend any makes your demands disingenuous.

If the radical left did not lose their minds over this, it would have just been something else.

Pyrrhic victory. This will give Dems the win 2024. Mark my words. And that’s exactly why it was done.

Beyond that, have you looked at who gets abortions? College sluts, welfare parasites, drug addicts, alcoholics, leftists, scumbags. It’s not your responsible mild mannered conservative housewife getting an abortions. It’s the scum of the Earth who’s disregard for life is so large, that they would even kill their own flesh and blood?

      You want more of them?

If not for abortion, there would be 60 mil more Democrats now. Which means they would have the supermajority needed to final solution any opposition.

Conservatives who want to abolish abortion are signing their own death warrants. They’re just too dumb to realize it.

@Wisdom Dude. Gen election is 2 years away. They are going to blow their load in the next month over this. Do you think this will stay in the memory of anyone for more than a couple of months?

The general public will not care about this by the time they go into the voting booth for President. No way the attention span of the mongoloids who are a part of this stupidity can keep it up for 2 years.

Economy is number one. Has been and always will be, and if things continue on the track that they are, and there is nothing to say it won’t, especially when it is finally acknowledged that we are already in a Recession, which we will still be in, that is what will be on people’s minds.

      Not this.

I’ve seen enough elections in my decades. This is not something that will decide an election.

And where is there abolishing abortion? This sends it back to the states, which is what most people are okay with. States rights are the best thing and is what makes the US function properly. Don’t miss inform.

Let’s be honest.  The left in 2024 will use any boogeyman they need too,  up to and including inventing one out of thin air.  So it really does not matter as far as that goes.

You aren’t wrong, but I believe they can only blow so much smoke before reality, a likely continued crummy economy and crushing costs of living, will override that kind of BS.

They won’t have a covid screen to hide behind this time, hopefully, to monkey with the voting process.

The Roe court grounded the right to an abortion in the 14th Amendment’s guarantee that states can’t deprive individuals of life and liberty without due process of law. The ruling built off a constitutionally recognized right to privacy…

All the while denying the life and liberty of the new life, the baby, the infant, that is growing/developing.

It was ABOUT TIME the court reversed that bad ruling from 50 years ago.

…court overturned the landmark 1973 “Roe v. Wade” decision … saying that individual states can now permit or restrict the procedure themselves.

        Correct.

“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion,” the court said. “The authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.”

The rule of LAW and the CONSTITUTION reins once again.

In the majority opinion, Justice Samuel Alito said Roe v. Wade was “egregiously wrong.”

“Abortion presents a profound moral issue on which Americans hold sharply conflicting views,” he said. “The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion.”

So it is time for the Constitution to work.  Let each state, via their elected officials, to do THEIR JOB.  Protect LIFE.

And the lame agruement of “its my body”; well, what of the BODY of your baby?  Who is protecting its life and liberty?

Now individual states CAN protect ALL human life once more.

This leftist anti-culture of murder and hiring killers (abortionist) to kill human life is finally breaking.

Too bad it has taken fifty years.  Yet better late than never.

        ^Well said.

It had been disheartening to see the level to which the pro-abortion movement had reached, dehumanizing human life (referring to embryos and fetuses as “a clump of cells” and “Parasites” respectively) in the name of championing individual freedom and the right to murd…I mean “choose”.

Wouldn’t even consider this a “victory” for the other side either, just a small re-reinstatement of common sense from which everyone can hopefully benefit.

Expect swift and vehement clap-back from the nut-jobs on the left.

I have read the entire ruling now.

Here is the abstract of the ruling:
“We therefore hold that the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion. Roe and Casey must be overruled, and the authority to regulate abortion must be returned to the people and their elected representatives.”

Under our precedents, rational-basis review is the appropriate standard for such challenges. As we have explained, procuring an abortion is not a fundamental constitutional right because such a right has no basis in the Constitution’s text or in our Nation’s history. See supra, at 8–39. It follows that the States may regulate abortion for legitimate reasons, and when such regulations are challenged under the Constitution, courts cannot “substitute their so cial and economic beliefs for the judgment of legislative bodies.”

This ruling was based on the Constitution and History of the law(s) of the United States prior to Roe and Casey. Roe and Casey subverted the Constitution by taking a States Rights issue and codifying it in violation of the Constitution. The courts today overturned Roe and Casey and put it back to where the Constitution requires it to be (in the states)

The Dissenting opinion were based in “Emotion and the What-if might happen” neither of those elements are legal in anyway shape or form. They also went on to use Liberal Buzzwords.

You can read the Courts Ruling here: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/19-1392_6j37.pdf

On a personal note, the dissenting opinion is why I have always been an advocate for the removal of justices based on political activism. When your opinion is not solidified by Law you are an activist and danger to the law.

The only big deal here is that the media will MAKE it a big deal to create more division and chaos.

The only actual thing happening here is that instead of the fed dictating the law, individual states will be given that responsibility.

That is the only thing actually happening here. I see nothing wrong with that. That is frankly how it should be.

But, listening to the hysteria in the media today you would think it was Armageddon and rights are being taken away, which is a lie. If a state someone lives in bans abortion etc, then they can just go to a state where it is not banned and get it done. It’s that simple. This gives the voice back to the people of that state and not a mass mandate by the overlords of the government.

Of course the ruling is based on constitutional law. Yes, as many here have stated it goes back to states, which is indeed the way it should be. But this ruling just gave the Dems all the ammunition they need to get their propaganda machinery working again and distract from the economy. This will impact the midterms.

Maverick “Wouldn’t even consider this a “victory” for the other side either, just a small re-reinstatement of common sense from which everyone can hopefully benefit.”

The only ones who will benefit from this are Democrats. Both in the short term (by their voter base being agitated) and in the long term (by more Democrats being born).

There’s no denying abortion is murder. No question about it. It may be justified in some cases (i.e. medical reasons, rape victims, unviability of the child), but in 99% of cases it’s the killing of a human being for convenience.

What people don’t understand though is that this is part of natural selection. Aside from exceptions including the aforementioned, only bad people are willing to murder their own child. Only psychopaths have such a fundamental defect. Devoid of any regard for life, a moral core or a speck of empathy, genetic defects. In other words: Democrats.
Absent any selection mechanisms through predators or food scarcity, nature (or god), in its infinite wisdom, has provided yet another mechanism to prevent such defects from further fouling up the gene pool. A self-cleansing mechanism by which defects remove their own diseased DNA from the pool.

Funny how before every election the deep state pulls some rabbit out of the hat that benefits democrats. Mass shootings, covid and lockdowns to steal the vote, a proxy war against Russia or now this abortion ruling. These election year surprises always seem to benefit Democrats. Funny how that works out.

Wisdom, This is NOT an election year surprise. It is not simple as that. The first draft was out what a month plus ago. This was no surprise to anyone.  It was no surprise either when the Court agreed to take this case or even when it went 6-3. The writing was on the wall to overturn it and many said it would be on these very grounds.

Only ones freeking out are the typical ones. Media and Democrats with the typical nutsy cookoos. And a ton of bots and trolls on the net.

The lines on Abortion have long since been drawn and this will have NO affect on the election in Nov for the dems. As I pointed out to you in another thread though if the Media and Politicians keep shoving it in peoples faces the way they are today, it will definitely bring out more republicans to insure more conservative justices.

This is again History proving itself. You want to see it? It was one of the biggest reasons for Trumps election win. People wanted Conservative Justices that’s a verifiable fact. Even the Mainstream Media had to admit that. When he dropped his SCOTUS List picks his election numbers went way up.

The people in this country, minus maybe people living off mommy and daddy or the government will be looking at their checkbook come November. That checkbook DOES NOT LIE! People will look at it and see what has happened under Biden and will vote based on that, not on some political talking points of Guns, God or Abortion. They will vote on their checkbooks first and foremost.

They will also look at the Prices at the pump, the groceries prices and lack of groceries on shelves. They will see the the Two Biggest Holidays coming and the shortages and prices for those. Oh you better believe when after 2 years of The China Virus people want to be with family and have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas where they can have all the trimmings for the dinners and presents under the trees. They will be seeing that and voting on it as well.

              I wish you were right.
But mark my words, this just gave the dems the win in 22 and 24. By design. Most self-declared conservatives are just controlled opposition.

Will it be used for the purposes of division and drama?  Yes, but again if there was not a reason they would have invented one so it makes no difference as far as that goes.

Anyone who would be whipped up by this to that point is already whipped up over J6 and Trump etc etc.  They did not require another reason.

This is not to say you there is not something to your point @Wisdom.  I just don’t think it makes that much of a difference in that arena.
