What are your hopes for Breath of the Wild 2. what gaming do you hope will be featured in it.

I hope it won’t let you explore the same world again unless the changes are significant, else it’s just way to large for doing that a second time.

Scrap the breakable weapons and armor concept, that’s probably what I liked the least about the game, even the Master Sword couldn’t be used infinitely, while it didn’t actually break it became unusable for a while when used too much.

I would hope for a more classic approach in world building, I want to explore Ocarina of Time scale dungeons in these graphics, the giants that were mini dungeons were a let down for me, not awful but all 4 were done way too fast, I wanted more.

Please not the same type of 100+ puzzle shrines.

I hope there’s a better story. One that focuses more on the characters and fleshes out the relationship between Link and Zelda. I also want Zelda to be playable.

I liked what BOTW did with the story being mysterious and taking place in the past. It made a great setting for exploration. However, it calls for a sequel, this time with a richer story taking place in the present time.

I think they should reuse the map of BOTW, with some tweaks to keep things fresh. Some of the ruins in the wild could have become small towns as civilization has started to flourish again. Maybe Link could even become a landlord an you could design your own little town.

As for the story, Link and Zelda could start building a new squad of Champions consisting of the different races (goron, zora etc.) including some new races and thus new adventures, like koroks and the minish from the Minish Cap game. Add classic Zelda dungeons without making the game too linear, including a water dungeon and thus underwater exploration throughout the whole map. That in addition to the minish exploration, and maybe some new area up north, and so we have another masterpiece at our hands👌

Personally, I’d like to see the game world return but expanded with new areas to explore. I’d also really like to see it filled out much more; one of my main criticisms of Breath of the Wild was how empty it felt. So I want to see more enemies and far more meaningful NPCs to interact with, whether for side quests or something else. And while the weapon degradation didn’t kill the experience for me, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that I thought about my weapons far more often than I ought to have. Remove the breaking altogether and instead allow for players to carry one of every weapon/bow/shield/etc. and then furthermore upgrade them as well (or at the very least allow us to upgrade anything to the point where it becomes unbreakable).

I also demand the return of more traditional-style Zelda dungeons. While the 120+ (after DLC) shrines were entertaining as a one-off, I want more classic Zelda features, whether in place or alongside. Additionally, more RPG elements would fit in extremely naturally within the premise of the Breath of the Wild games.

The inclusion of unique dungeons, with a variety of distinct enemies like previous titles is my biggest request. I also want epic boss battles and a true showdown with Gannondorf, since Ganon’s final form was pretty disappointing (play him on the harder game mode–how the castle confrontation should’ve always been).

Well, the only thing we’ve seen so far is that there is some kind of Ganondorf resurrection going on, so i think it’s safe to say we’re getting a 1v1 showdown against his human form👌

Also a half decent final boss.

Nice to know that I’m not the only one. All the things I’ve criticized about BOTW have been mentioned…. maybe get rid of the slick mountains or have it rain a lot less.

and Link to be voiced by Bobcat Goldthwait in his Zed McGlunk voice
