Can I trust Zoom?
So I had talked to my psychologist a few weeks back about learning how to socialize with other people and so she recommended this autistic program that would teach me how to socialize with others but the guy who runs the place told me through email that he insists on me using Zoom to conference call him to learn which I am not too trusting of the idea of because the CEO of Zoom has connections with a certain unfriendly place that makes cheap things for Walmart and loves camps.
I have certain opposing views to the place that makes cheap things for Walmart and loves camps and I don’t want to use Zoom because of how the platform has a track record of censoring and endangering the lives of people who oppose Winnie the Pooh.
Part of me wants to learn how to socialize with others and maybe get an office job but that requires meetings on Zoom but my instincts tell me not to trust Zoom for it’s shady connections.
My woke older sister keeps yelling at me to use Zoom or I’ll be left behind in the world but my gut says to stay away from Zoom cause it is as trustworthy as Tik Tok.
I don’t know is a social life worth a risk to my own privacy and safety? I know from experience that things like making friends even in real life never worked out for me and failed often and in this age of censorship, cancel culture and mass surveillance……this could be dangerous for me.
What do you guys think? I just have a bad feeling about Zoom.
