City of Buffalo sues gunmakers, says they are ‘threat to public health’ in lawsuit

On Tuesday, city officials from Buffalo, N.Y., filed a lawsuit against numerous gun manufacturers and distributors, claiming the widespread availability of firearms “is a significant threat to public health and safety.”

Then, can we file a class action lawsuit against every dem controlled city/state, for the “threat to public health” their policies and lack of holding criminals responsible for crimes/lack of confictions/releasing criminals back onto the streets to continue their crimes!

There are currently 32 companies named in the lawsuit, which was filed in the Erie County branch of New York’s Supreme Court. The companies include gunmakers Smith & Wesson, Glock, Remington and Beretta, and several “ghost gun” companies, including Arm or Ally and Polymer80. (A ghost gun is a firearm that is privately assembled and untraceable.)

The lawsuit does not seek to end legal gun ownership.

What an oxymoron of a statement.  Of course they want to end “legal” gun ownership by citizens of the USA.  That is why they are going after gun makers, and not the people/organizations who traffic/sell guns to criminals/gangs.

Or in strengthen red flag laws to prevent criminals from getting them.

“Members of our community have suffered too much and for too long from gun violence,” Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown said during a news conference on Tuesday. “We must do everything we can to decrease gun violence. Enabling the possession of illegal guns destroys lives and deeply affects our neighbourhoods, especially in Black and brown communities.”

    Then go after the CRIMINALS!

“We have state public nuisance laws that we are empowered to enforce, and I intend on doing all that I can as mayor to protect people and prevent the loss of lives resulting from gun violence,” Brown said during Tuesday’s press conference.

    Lock up the CRIMINALS!

This soft on crime “is a significant threat to public health and safety.”

The dems and their demented policies “is a significant threat to public health and safety.”

Dem prosecutors not pressing charges and jailing criminals “is a significant threat to public health and safety.”

Activist/dem judges letting criminals free/back onto the streets to commit more crimes “is a significant threat to public health and safety.”

Do you see a pattern here?

    I sure do!

“The lawsuit does not seek to end legal gun ownership”

Yes, yes it does.  That’s entirely the point.

He said it himself “Enabling the possession of illegal guns destroys lives and deeply affects our neighbourhoods.” So hows about making legal firearms and training more accessible.

So, if this makes sense then we can do the following:

Sue Mc Donald’s and other fast foods for helping spread the epidemic of obesity

Sue the plastic manufacturer’s for helping destroy the planet and male fertility because of micro-plastics getting into the body

Sue electric car battery manufacturer’s for all the harm making those batteries actually does to the environment

        Shall I go on?

We live in a clown world folks.

Explain “Legal Firearms and Training”  Training is simple but in all reality the “Requirement Courses” where still required for conceal carry are really so minimal a 12 year old could take and pass them. I actually suggest to people if your are going to carry a minimum of 1 day a month on the range to stay familiar with the weapon you carry.  There is actually several classes in Buffalo that can be took. Cost is way up there last I checked at near 600.00 bucks for the 16 hour class.

If you are talking about the cost of the class as the “more accessible ” I agree its to much in NY but that is to try and keep people from doing it. In Arkansas it was between 100 and 200 depending on class and instructor. It might seem high even at 100.00 but that is the cost for the Instructor, Processing of your Permit and Required Range time, yous supply your own gun and ammo.

Now legal firearm, I have never met an illegal one, just ones that require a special tax errr permit.  I can own a fully automatic machine gun with a M-69 Grenade Launcher if I wanted to pay for the permits.

But My hope is sooner rather than later all states become Constitutional Carry or SCOTUS makes a ruling similar to the Gay Marriage License law that makes it legal in all 50 states. I would still advise people to get some type of firearms course and then practice.

Knives are used in stabbings. So they should sue the manufacturers of kitchen utensils as well?

These stupid DEMonS really have too much time on their hands.

@Mustangride1 I’ll elaborate a bit more. Since they are a Constitutional Right, remove all taxes/permits involved. Let us own the means to defend ourselves from tyranny like our fantastic forfathers envisioned for us.

And illegal firearms means purchased “on the street”, serial number scratched off, or even a firearm in possession of a known felon.

@TowLiquor 100% agree, but I would do one better. Restore the rights of felons like they use to. You serve your time then your rights should be restored. Solution to people we do not want back out or able to use weapons, Death Penalty solves that and they are not a financial burden on society for life. Just me but our founders never meant for people to lose their rights if they served their time.

Careful with the “Purchased on the Street” part of that. Politicians want nothing more than to ban private sales, and honestly if you make it as our founders envisioned then there would be no need for serial numbers (except for the manufacture to track amount made and for warranty) Personally the Government should be 100% out of tracking of anything to do with firearms. (SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED) means exactly that. The sooner SCOTUS lays that down as the absolute meaning the better for civil liberties.

              @Mustangride1

If you do that how would you handle people who committed violent crimes but say no one was murdered?
