COD – Always-online connection nonsense!

The fact that Activision continues to put an always-online connection in a COD game is ridiculous.  I had a disagreement with a friend yesterday about this which is fine, but certain games never need an always-online connection.  Having an offline and online mode option is always the best way to go.  When these companies continue to do dumb decisions, then I don’t care about their game anymore.  They will never understand that an always-online connection in this game will cause extra lag and other problems.  I feel that Activision will never care because they want more control which will continue to cause headaches for players.
