It’s finally out! Since I’m about to start a new book, this will be a great diversion for breaks aside from WoW and AC: Odyssey I can’t wait to dive into this!

Can’t buy it this month, but I might break my wait for price drop rule and get it next month, because I MUST get into this. I love this franchise, and Paradox games have not disappointed me yet.

Looks like something between Total War, Civilization, and The Guild – all three of which are franchises I’ve spent thousands of hours playing. Luckily it seems to primarily be a single-player game, so I’ll check it out at some point.

As someone who has spent way too many hours playing paradox games, I really have enjoyed CK3. I think it takes the ideas of CK2 and streamlines a lot of them. With paradox, they always want you to buy all their dlc, but even without every dlc, I have really enjoyed it. I think the basic game is more difficult than ck2, which I appreciate a lot. I had to take a break because I guess I have an obsession winning one more war.

@Poppie Mods, my friend. Use the mods. The modding community for CK3 is great. It was especially necessary to fix the seduction, cuckolding, and cheating problems early on so that my family lines were actually mine. I still keep them running just in case.

I learned years ago that if I’m going to get DLC for a CK game…wait for Black Friday when you can get 2 or 3 for one on Steam. That’s what I did for Stellaris last year.

I love it when I can get additional stuff to do like this.

I’m pretty sure I will get this automatically, since I purchased the royal edition at launch, which said I got the first expansion included. I’m hoping that the norseman update last month didn’t count, cuz I don’t care about that.
