I’m in the middle of taking IT classes online at the University of Michigan. I’m a software engineer and have already worked on a project as a contractor for a AAA title. I applied to work at Lucasfilm games for a position in California. I was a life long Star Wars fan until today when you so unethically terminated Gina Carano’s employment. Your company wrongfully defamed her character and misrepresented her social media posts. Your unethical company’s actions proved her remarks are 100% correct. I don’t work for …[removed word here]… Nazis who make war on the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Lucasfilm is not my employer/client and there are no plans for Lucasfilm to be my employer/client in the future. I was looking forward to buying more of your games from STEAM. I promise you I never will. I will never visit a Disney park again. I did twice before but there will never be a third time. Goodbye forever. Your company has become a symbol of the First Order in the recent Star Wars movies.

Lucasfilm/Disney, I believe, are starting to lose the war for hearts and minds. Stop giving them money. Stop giving them positive attention. We need to keep on the pressure. There can be no support whatsoever for them. You cannot like or support one little part, because no matter what you are always feeding the beast.
They are bleeding out financially. Disney+ was their way out, but as they always do, ideological fools are never self aware. They are so hopped up on their own agenda infused farts, they had no idea they were marching straight towards the landmine they placed in front of their own path which they blindly strode right over.
The shills yesterday, the face of #CancelDisneyPlus, were trying to crow that Disney+ had 95 million subs.
Since yesterday, how far do you think that’s dropped?
Disney has lost any chance, imo, to ever make a profit from Disney+. Eventually I think they will be unable to sustain the leviathan they have built themselves into. Lucasfilm was the first major entity they really absorbed, and in the end its poor operation and malfeasance of bad management and horrific treatment of people will turn out to transform it into cancer I think that begins Disney’s undoing.
We have to hold true, never bend the knee, and try and open the eyes of whomever is ready and willing to listen to walk away from Disney…forever.

Jeremy of Geeks + Gamers has it for free and I wonder how many like him have it for free or have access to it but don’t use it. Disney still counts them as part of the 95 million subs.

February 12, 2021 at 3:56 pm #208876Well I just cancled my Disney+ plan from Verizon. Jeremy should do the same. I have a friend who has D+ so I can watch Wanda Vision if I want too but not sure if I will. Falcon and Winter Soldier trailer was pretty bad to be honest. I can’t wait for Kennedys contract to be unrenewed. They sabotage their greatest series and gave Gina another job. Her merch is still out in the market, you can’t take her out of existing episodes. They could kill her character ungracfully like they did to Rosanne making her OD but that won’t bring back the money they lost. Disney placation to cancel cutlure may just lead to its death.

Fully aware of that fact, one I say often at the screen when someone talks about the subject.
The greater point is that they were never getting that free sub money, and they never likely will going forward.
February 12, 2021 at 4:16 pm #208883I forgot who I heard/read it, but that disney+ needs 250 Million PAID subscribers to break even.
So I don’t care if they have 95 Million open accounts, if only 5 Million are PAID subscribers.
This is just another example of the bad accounting practices at disney.
(Anyone remember the stories how they inflated their sales by including free perks as PAID perks, etc.)
