The OC Register is reporting that Disneyland has announced a long-term expansion plan for the resort known as “DisneylandForward” which would add new theme park, retail and parking areas to the eastern and western edges of the Disneyland resort, expanding the footprint of the resort for the first time in almost 30 years.

Well this is sudden, considering they’ll need to rebound from a year of closure.

As with other Disneyland Expansion projects that have been announced in the past (and haven’t gone forward), DisneylandForward will need to be signed off by Anaheim’s local government leaders after planning decisions are made, a process that’s expected to last two years before final decisions are made.

This reminds of the planned but never built Westcot expansion from the 90s, where Disneyland was going to get a massive expansion, but after Disneyland Paris failed it was canceled and California Adventure was put there instead. So I’ll believe it when I see it

IMO, this is a cover-up release they hope will get people/fans to STOP talking about Gina’s firing, Geode (blockhead), the failed HIGH republic, investor call asking about Gina/KK, when KK is no longer be ruining Star Wars, etc.

Do I think this expanse will take place?  NO.

Do I think it is a PR stunt to distract people from the true problems?  YES!
