So far this is the only show ive been watching start to finish that didnt go overboard with sjw crap (so far)  i admit it seems like the justice society is going to be the diversity society lol but its a decent show that im able to watch start to finish and yes i know cw channel is trash i agree i used to like the 100 but that got destroyed early on with that crap

    So far so good.

But I got my hand on the ripcord just in case

Not perfect but I’ve liked it. A little clunky. I do feel like this is a show that will just deliver heartbreak down the line. I’ll keep watching but I won’t get too attached.

Not thrilled with Brec Bassinger this far. She doesn’t carry the gravitas for some of the role’s more serious moments.

I am enjoying the series so far. I have been reading The Justice Society Of America comics for many years so it was great to see this.

They certainly are going fast with the show though. Courtney is assembling a new JSA and she does not even know how to handle her Cosmic staff yet!

yeah she needs to learn to use the staff better lol i just hope it doesnt go sjw crap though im seeing slight signs though like everytime shes in school she has to stand next to the diversity sign lol its like really? lol luke wilson is really good i like how they made him this underdog and like he doesnt know anything but hes the one figuring out whats going on and actually investigating things. so far so good but yeah ill be so bummed if they go the sjw route the cw for some reason thinks thats a selling point the 100 used to be good to i used to love that show but man did they blow that up

I really like Stargirl it is a lot better than everything in the arrowverse currently. I really hope it doesn’t go woke. The first 3 episodes were really entertaining.

i admit it seems like the justice society is going to be the diversity society

Are you aware that Yolanda was Hispanic in the comics when she was introduced in the 1980’s? Beth Chapel was black when she was introduced in the 1980’s as well.

Rick Tyler is white in the show, just like he was in the comics. As is Courtney and her entire family.

But go ahead and complain about diversity because of TWO characters on the team who match the way they’ve been for 30 years.

You are suffering from DDS….diversity derangement syndrome.

I love Stargirl! It’s true, they didn’t race swap or gender swap any of the characters, and didn’t make race or gender the plot points of the show (least for now). I like the way the show portrays the backstories of the characters, especially interesting those of the kids of the villains, and how growing up with villains as parents will either turn them into villains themselves, or make them want to become heroes

So far, Stargirl is fun.  And that’e enough for me.  The show doesn’t have to be the greatest show ever.  Just be entertaining enough to be a diversion when the news from the real world is grim.

I haven’t read these comics and know nothing of the source material but I can tell you those Tell-All Goggles for Dr. Midnight are going to be a plot nightmare. It knows everything from where the characters currently are to details like Courtney’s (Brec Bassinger’s) height and weight (5’2″ and 108 lbs). It becomes a literal Deus Ex Machina. The only way to keep dramatic tension will be a constant stream of sci-fi explanations why the goggles suddenly don’t know a piece of information it easily knows in other situations. Maybe they’ll get destroyed. We’ll see.

they dont have her standing next to a diversity sign every times shes in school for nothing lol. its not perfect but its watchable so far

      #166707

yeah dr midnight im not terribly thrilled about it comes off as the token black person like south park. i wish courtney had taken those goggles from her but meh cw needs to virtue signal with that character smh.

the next episode looks hilarious cant wait to see it

I know what you mean about Dr. Midnight’s goggles.

It reminds me of way back in the comics when Cyborg joined the Justice League, he was able to tap in to anything Worldwide. It took the detective out of the story because now, instead of trying to find the villain by piecing all the clues together, Cyborg just tapped in to the internet and computers and told the JLA where to go.

Have not watch this show at all, but I have watched every review by AZ from heelvsbabyface & Thorias Unlimited, and those are very entertaining.

Stargirl so far is the best  theCW show ever made, the other cw shows are 22-26 with many filler boring episodes meanwhile stargirl is only 13 episodes and the cgi is waaaay better than the other shows, I don’t mind the diversity really cus the actors are actually good and the show doesn’t just shove sjw bs in our throats for no reason like other shows do and each back story of the heroes and the villainsis very interesting, I’ll say it again Stargirl is the best show the CW ever made ..
