So last night I was texting with my decades long best friend. It started because I told him someone I knew that had been vaccinated got covid anyway. And he actually told me he knew someone that had that happen as well.
Somehow it devolved quickly as he rattled off reasons he thought people should get the vaccine anyway and I had legit concerns at each point even given his thought processes.
And then it just got ugly, within minutes I was just an a$$hole who did not care about other people who believed in outrageous conspiracy theories.
Why should I take an experimental vaccine that clearly does not make you immune to a virus? Especially when 2 things that many mistrust (Government and Big Pharma) are pushing it so damn hard? What sense does that make?
Now I admit it does appear numbers are going down since the vaccine (although I know in some places they are going back up) so there is that. But I question that a little bit too. Funny how that happened only during Biden. And yes I firmly believe if billionaires can make oodles of cash by letting a few folks get sick or die they would do it without hesitation.
Also I recall that some media personalities (like CNN) and maybe a few politicians said they would NEVER take a vaccine Trump pushed. But now that it’s the Biden admin your a dirty a-hole if you don’t run out and get it.
I should end this by saying I am not anti-vaccine. I simply distrust this vaccine given what I know and the context of the situation.

most likely because people started getting vaccinated after Biden stepped in office. I find it pretty absurd that people (mostly american ofc) make covid a Trump vs Biden thing, as if the whole world is on a scheme to manipulate the covid numbers to drop after Biden stepped in office.
For example where I live, the numbers went up to numbers we had never reached before in February 2021, after Biden became presidet. We started to get vaccines this spring and the rate are now a third of what they were in February. Right now, the only ones not vaccinated twice are young people up to 30 years old, and the most infected segment atm are exactly those people.

Even though i’m already a adult i’ll call the people who were arguing the “grown ups” since there’s a whole generation age gap between me and them, anyway, the grown ups were arguing, one firmly for the vax, the other very skeptical, at one point the skeptical one got so tiered of hearing his friend blab on about having to get the vax he told him to shut the fuck up and no he’s not gonna inject some mystery serum into him, the vax guy kept on going on saying “why? what are you waiting for before you do it? to see how many people die from taking the vax?” (now from vax guy’s point of view that last comment was sarcastic), at that point i jump in and say, much to my friend’s amusement, “yes! we’re waiting to see if you guinea pigs turn into mutants!!”, at that point vax guy remained speechless, returning to his dinner plate probably wondering how who in his eyes was a kid shut him up 🤣🤣🤣
July 20, 2021 at 7:11 am #233459Having the vaccine should be a choice and you shouldn’t be forced to have it if you’re clearly a fit and healthy person. I’ve been double vaccined as I’ve got underlying health problems so I need it whether I liked it or not. It’s not as bad as when the Swine Flu came out ten years ago and me and my sister were made to take the vaccine for that even though they had only done research on it for a month by the time we had had it. My sister was terrified and I wasn’t keen on getting it either.
Anyway, back to Covid…I also think this vaccine passport thing is wrong as well. They’re now just blackmailing people into having it done whether they liked it or not.

I also got both the vaccines because of health problems, but I also feel that if you’re healthy and young you should get a choice. I have a few friends who got COVID and they still did alright.
Also, I don’t get the big deal about letting everyone know you’re vaccinated. For a few months in the spring it seemed like everyone was posting their vaccine card like it was some big accomplishment that they got the shot.
July 20, 2021 at 8:10 am #233476I am totally fine with anyone who wants to get it. I don’t see that as a thing to cause division. I mean if you want to take it go right ahead. But the the thing is forcing it upon others.
I distrust the government and big pharma. I normally have an automatic dislike and distrust for anything everyone else is doing. Maybe that is a character defect I don’t know. But everything in the world is telling me to get the vaccine while everything inside me says don’t do it.
July 20, 2021 at 9:54 am #233482Ofc you can’t force anyone to take the vaccine. I got my first one in June and will get the second one next month before going on exchange to Korea. I’ll gladly keep everyone up to date, but I still haven’t had any side effects from Bill Gates’ 5G microchip nor have I yet turned into a lizard. But we’ll see :)

@Nintendrilo It is now at a point where those who are NOT vaxed are being discriminated against.There are laws against discrimination, based on race, sex, religion, age, orientation, health (disabilities) etc.
This idea that only “vaxed” people can travel, attend concerts or sporting events, be allowed into the office (work) or go to a store (shop), etc. IS DISCRIMINATION.
In the province I am in, health officials are publicly worrying that we have plateaued for those wanting to get the jab…
As of Monday, 74.8 per cent of those eligible have received one dose of vaccine; 59.7 per cent of those eligible are fully vaccinated.
They tell proclaiming there is plenty of doses and appointments available. get yours today!
Personally, I am sick of the same message “it is completely safe” yet we have no idea what any long term side effects are, so get the jab and hope for the best BS.
I call their message “misinformation” as it is incomplete and is trying to use peer pressure and lotteries to bribe/blackmail people to get this jab.
We also get the message of “talk to your family and friends and doctors, people you trust.” Well, that rules out legacy media and ALL politicians!
Ok, can any of them tell me/show me the documented long term side effects?
Well? I am waiting. As is so many other people.
I personally had to stop using and switch medications, or had to not take the recommended medication (and pick a secondary one) because of reactions and interactions they have or potentially have with each other that are documented/listed.

Totally agree. Even tho I am 100% pro covid vaccination, seeing people post the vaccination pics and being like ”ha! Take that you anti-vaxx losers” I just though why make such a big deal out of it. Just mind your own business.

Here is the bottom line for all arguments.
Get the shot if you want
Don’t get the shot if you don’t want
Your medical history is and should be privateIf someone says you are a _ _ _ _ _ _ if you do not have it, they are the _ _ _ _ _ _ because if they have had the shot then they should not be worried, now should they? Adults can make the choice to or not to get the shot, based off discussions with their doctor and personal belief.
This like the Last U.S Election is showing people who their true friends are. It’s good to shake that tree from time to time, and let the bad fruit fall to the ground and be rid of it. That includes family, they might be blood true, but you have to ask yourself even about them are they really people you want in your life if that is how they treat you?
