      Agreed. I like the Drinker too.

      *Takes one look at the trailer…LAUGHS*

      And this is coming from someone who usually likes Angelina Jolie depending on what she’s in!

      Also this is an insult to Bollywood.

      Yup this is dead on arrival.

      @DigiCat
      I also liked ‘Dark Phoenix’ but I felt cheated by the ending. I also admit that the Dark Phoenix storyline was better done on here than ‘The Last Stand’. Maybe it’s because I’m a huge fan of the Dark Phoenix storyline.

      Agree with OP that Dark Phoenix was a disappointment and I saw it on the big screen. Just too much CGI. I think these movies should embrace what they are like Kong v Godzilla did. Big fluff epics and that’s fine. I’m the opposite of previous comment in that I think Angelina Jolie is cringe no matter what she’s in at this point for being so self-absorbed. Seems like the east has really taken over Hollywood. I don’t really care if the movies are good. To be honest, I think I’d rather watch Cirque du Soleil because it looks almost exactly the same but with better athletes.

        @DragonLady, i didn’t have any problems with the Dark Phoenix storyline, but rather that the movie was just way too slow imo, also 2 of my favorite characters, Nightcrawler and Quicksilver, got very little screen time, one thing i do really like of Dark Phoenix though is the soundtrack, especially in the opening scene

        I also get a good laugh out of Drinker’s channel, even if it’s on something I like and he’s giving it a negative review (‘The  Dark Knight Rises’ as an example) because, guess what? I’ve a sense of humour. Yes I know; shocking right lol???

          I am going to make a prediction right now. This movie will not flop. There are way too many absolutely mind numbed robots out their who will eat this up and beg for more.

          Makes me sick. God I want off this rock.

          Here’s the thing.

          1) You are correct that there are likely enough normies and brain dead morons out there who just see MCU and march to go see the movie which will make it look like an initial success. Buuuuuuut, there will probably be steep drop off the following week. This thing will have no legs, and because we live in a different post COVID world, Disney can’t repeat what they did with Captain Marvel to alter the numbers.

          2) You may be somewhat wrong, because think about the concept of habits.

          For years when things were normal, it was habit to not only go to the movies, but to go to a MCU movie. I myself, prior and up to Endgame, said often that the only new releases that would get me into a theater were MCU movies, otherwise I didn’t waste my money on the continued crap splattering on a screen.

          But Endgame has come and gone.

          COVID changed the landscape…and changed habits.

          It has been….2 years? since we had a MCU movie. We’re not going to talk about the TV garbage. That was TV. We’re talking movies here.

          Then it’s been over a year since people habitually went to the movies en masse normally.

          Both these habits have been broken. Normally the human brain, as I’ve had it explained to me, breaks a habit after 90 days when that repetitive action ceases. It’s been more than 90 days, obviously. The masses are no longer in the habit of going to a new MCU movie, let alone going to the movies in theaters.

          Ignore the diehard MCU fanboys/fangirls on the interwebs who are spurgging out how excited they are for anything MCU…many of them don’t wanna give up the ghost, don’t wanna let go of the glory, imo. Then you add in the SJWs who have become intermixed into it all because of the virtue signaling and agenda that has now taken hold in the MCU, and that makes another half of the spurgging that needs to be ignored, because SJWs don’t spend money.

          Take all these factors into account, and Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals all have the potential to flop, or at the very least break their legs after first weeks.

          That’s my simple take on that…..dang….I should turn that into a video….

            I was just reading normies watching the trailer and spouting their normie nip as though the movie can’t be bad cause Mahvel. I wager one cookie the movie will at least break even.

            Also, don’t forget the core merch demographic of children who might drag their parents along kicking and screaming. That can’t be forgotten either.

            I agree on the Covid thing. I really do. But I am betting on Stupid. Stupid is as stupid does.

            I want to be wrong. I hope I am wrong. I am just in that mood of general hopelessness, it absolutely makes perfect, total sense that this garbage will persist. We will never be rid of it.

            One last thing. Even if it DOES flop, excuses. Oh it did ok but because A, B and C, we didn’t make money. So we can still make woke wankery. It won’t change anything. We are dealing with people with whom logic, reason and even basic mathematics don’t matter.

              @Shrap

              At one time I would have agreed with you, but things have changed, the election and coof along with all the time to sit at home and realize how how fucked up and bad hollywood is. Oscars really proved that. Cena situation i heard about it from people who I never would expected to.

              The days of Make crap product, you consume product mindlessly, make more product I THINK, I hope are over. This has horrible written all over it and I am seeing even the consume-everything sheep waking up. But we will see if they broke the habit.

                Imo, the fact that it’s been so long since people’ve been able to go to theaters gives Black Widow, and maybe even Shang-Chi, a higher chance of success, if not because of hype because of people just wanting to get out of the house after being in lockdown for over a year, Black Widow comes out july and Shang-Chi september, when restrections are supposedly gonna loosen world wide, where’s Eternals comes out november, when things should already be back to normal for a few months, add to that the fact Eternals is the most tampered with and furthest from it’s original comics out of the 3 movies, and Eternals has the potential to become the Solo of the MCU

                You’ve might’ve had one black pill too many. Or maybe I’m too optimistic despite me having a habit of trashing almost everything that isn’t Japan related.

                People may be stupid but Eternals is looking like the Inhumans right now and the latter was mocked to high hell before it flopped hard.

                I am not a fan of Salma nor Jolie. This is actually a bit bitter that they took former babes that are aged. Cruel fate. All the greats like Jordan, Kobe, Jeter retire around 36. I’d say that’s a pretty good deadline and expiration date. If you have not had a kid or been married by then, it’s pretty much over. You can see these actresses lose their juice.

                After an unexpected tragedy following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), the Eternals—an immortal alien race created by the Celestials who have secretly lived on Earth for over 7,000 years —reunite to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.

                  I’m not a fan of Salma either, Jolie i don’t mind her acting, but complaining about thier age, really? There’s a reason professional athletes retire in their 30s, that’s a job that requires them to be in peek physical condition, and that’s something that’s gonna deminish with age regardless of how you look, but with acting your age is irrelevant as long as you look the age of the character

                  About the movie, i don’t have high hopes for it, but based on the trailers i’m pretty sure Ikaris is gonna be my fav Eternal 😸
