    That is a shame you did not enjoy it as much as you had hoped.

    Writing/reading in a different style than what one is used to.

     

    That was why, for me, reading the original Dracula was so hard, as it was all in journal form, taken from the view point of Jonathan Harker.

    But it also made in a unique read.

    They can’t all be winners, and I’m not such a fanboy that I’ll blindly say everything is great.

    Yeah, I have yet to read all the Star Wars books and Star Trek books. I prefer Dune and the comments above say the truth, which is, sometimes, you need to just breath deep, buckle down and plow through the books. I know a kid who reads a thousand pages a week. He tells me he just goes through them and can always read them over again later.
