Can’t have a Nintendo forum without a Game Boy topic. Which one did you have and what games? For me, it was the Game Boy Color and the first game was Pokemon Blue.

I had the original Game Boy, with Tetris, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Soccer, and Pokemon Blue, Red and Yellow. I eventually got the Game Boy Color and Nintendo DS.

I got a Game Boy when I was in elementary school in the early 90’s, it was the standard one in a bundle with Tetris and Super Mario Land, eventually (years later) my brother dropped it and broke the screen, so on my next birhday I got a silver Game Boy Pocket, which I still have but on the left side of the screen like 3 vertical lines of pixels are not showing anymore.

I own 37 Game Boy and 17 Game Boy Color games, never had a GBC though.

I have a few gameboys, as I show in my profile page, I was using emulation but then there is nothing like playing a good old game on proper hardware. Okay, I made it much more pleasant by putting in a couple of new screens here and there, I have a IPS in my GBA and also my pocket and the freckleshack in my color.

My very first game system was a hand-me-down, slate grey Gameboy Pocket from a friend. The games that I had for it were

– The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX

– Pokemon Red

– Pokemon Yellow

– Super Mario Land: Six Golden Coins

After that, I got another second-hand handheld in a Gameboy Color and added:

– The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

– The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

– Pokemon Gold

– Pokemon Silver

– Pokemon Crystal

– Dragon Warrior III

I still have the original gray brick! I played the hell out of Super Mario Land 2, Kirby’s Dream Land, Dr. Mario, and a few others.

However, my favorite Game Boy model and favorite handheld of all time is the GBA. Man oh man, the memories with my GBA may never be matched. Pokemon Sapphire and LeafGreen, the Super Mario Advance games, Fire Emblem and FE: Sacred Stones, Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission and several others are games that I sunk HUNDREDS of hours into.

My favorite Game Boy game of all time is a tough pick, but I think I’m gonna have to go with this…
