What options are available for game rentals these days? The only one I am familiar with is GameFly but they are so unbelievably slow that I can’t stomach the idea of another subscription.

I’ve looked online but I can’t really find anything. I know PlayStation has PS Now but it’s not a full library, and Nintendo has nothing that I’m aware of.

    I appreciate any suggestions.

I honestly think GameFly is all that’s left at this point.  It’s crazy how over the course of a decade, physically renting games and movies has almost completely disappeared. I miss rental stores :(

I use to work in a rental store…I miss it. I never missed a day of work while I was there. There was just something about walking into a video store, whether it be Blockbusters, Hollywood Video, or a mom & pop owned store.

The closest thing to a rental service I use is Game Pass. $15 a month for Xbox Live and Game Pass with hundreds of games available. Honestly, I’ve saved money by playing the games on there (either because I am enjoying them and don’t have to spend $60 to own them or they are so bad I don’t waste the money to buy them).

I had Gamefly at one time but considering that the lowest subscription gets you one game at a time and it usually took them a week to get me the game, a week for me to play it and then send it back and then almost another week before I got the next game…it just wasn’t worth the money.

Personally I hate digital-only media. It’s such a waste of money if you can’t hold it in your hand.
