Hey guys. New to the site. So Jeremy did a video awhile back saying CDPR had gone woke for making it so you don’t select a gender in Cyberpunk 2077 but a body type. Now I want to make it clear that the purpose of this post is not to give Jeremy a hard time, but I believe he is mistaken. Jeremy if you read this, I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts.
So I understand the concern here. At first glance, this seems to be CDPR bowing to the outrage mob. I believe however that CDPR will stick to its guns and make the game they want to make, regardless of who they offend. I know they are open to feedback, and there’s no reason they wouldn’t apply feedback even from the outrage mob if they thought it made sense for the game.
In the Cyberpunk universe, body modification is commonplace. This would not just mean cybernetic implants, but also would mean changing of genders or something in between.
Now I myself believe that if you think you are something other than what your DNA says you are, you have mental issues and need help. Nevertheless, I think it makes sense for the game. I believe this game is still going to royally piss off plenty of SJWs. I’m interested to hear what you guys think.
