Based on the trailer alone, i’m actually plesantly surprised, it looks like a fun Marvel christmas special 🎄 It better be just that

I have no problem with fans and what people watch. I never judge because we all grew up heavily on media. Vigilante was used in Arrow as well. “verisimilitude”

For me, Gary is a lot of fun to listen to. Agree about being built or yoked, but it depends. I took an archery class once and there was a moose of a lady there who was a great shot with her compound bow, but she looked almost like a shot putter. Big woman. Attractive, but huge. In sports, some of the athletes look like normal people, so you can never really tell by body type.

Also, I thought that masculinity was covered well in first season of Arrow. At around the same time, Agents of SHIELD was going on, and Grant Ward was treated the same way as Oliver Queen in terms of their rite of passage to masculinity. In both shows, the men had to become survivalists in remote nature locations. They had to learn how to hunt and trap and defend themselves like animals. In nature, you kill what you eat and you have to do it yourself. Those two shows had real masculinity

Show from ten years ago. I only liked season one and maybe, two. Woke crept in and killed it after that.

Have not watched yet, but the first two episodes are out. The intro is really nice, showing shadows and colors of karate, archery, fencing, gymnastics and other athletics. It was trending on twitter this morning.

I won’t be watching it, but I’ll also not hate / trash it… this is a show for a different demographic… it’s not for me (Sopranos fan type lol) … this is mainly for teenage girls… and disney shills lol so, yeah, whatever. xD

So far it is the best of the any of the Marvel TV shows. I haven’t liked any of them so far, at all, but I can say I actually enjoyed the first two episodes a bit.

Sure, we have another girl taking center stage, but it’s much better done than other have done. She isn’t a Mary Sue.

          Hawkeye: You 18?

          Kate: I’m 22

Congratulations to Marvel for making Kate Bishop very relatable 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ok, jokes aside, watched the first 2 episodes of Hawkeye, and so far i’m very plesantly surprised 👍 Like @DarthVengeant said, Kate is not a Mary Sue, the center stage part, i guess that’s true for episode 1 since they used it to introduce her character, but by episode 2 Hawkey and Kate have equal amount of screentime and an equally important role in trying to solve the Ronin mystery, Hawkey is really fartherly towards Kate looking out for her and trying to keep her safe, while Kate is very eager to help her fav superhero fight bad guys, it’s a very sweet and wholesome relationship and i hope Marvel keeps it that way thruout the series and beyond :3 And there’s a super-cute doggy 🐶💖 I wonder if doggy’s also gonna get a Hawkeye suit 🤩

Disney Plus Hawkeye Series Episodes 1 & 2 Review

          Dec 8, 2021

          George The Giant Slayer

Disney Plus’ Hawkeye is the current live action show in the MCU television lineup. It came out of the gate appealing to everyday people and die hard fans’ affection for the grounded master archer. Only, to have Disney pull a boiler room pump and dump scam; convincing audiences that the show was centered around the original Jeremy Renner Hawkeye when in fact it focuses on Kate Bishop and passing the baton from Renner’s Hawkeye to her. This should have been called the Kate Bishop show and that would have set the proper expectations. But then no one would have shown up to watch the series.

This game Disney played is exactly why Hawkeye is the lowest rated series in the MCU live action family.

She had her breakthrough with the western drama film True Grit (2010), which earned her nominations for the Academy Award, BAFTA Award and the SAG Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Steinfeld rose to mainstream prominence for her lead roles in Ender’s Game (2013),

The show did not hook me at all and I passed on it. I actually like the girl and think she is very good on camera. It’s actually kind of random if I’m into a show or movie or not. One thing I gotta say is you know who should be Hawkeye? John Campea, since John Campea is letting a chick take over his show and he’s becoming a sidekick of the lady. Good for you, John Campea.

Hawkeye is Another Bait-and-Switch FAILURE | Disney is DESTROYING The MCU

Hawkeye is another Disney Plus Disaster. What is now typical Disney Marvel predictable M-She-U Bait-and-Switch storytelling. Disney and Kevin Feige finish their worst year continuing their mission to deconstruct and destroy what made The MCU popular in the first place. It wasn’t enough to make Hawkeye a guest star in his own series. Kingpin is finally brought and made to look like a fool. That isn’t the worst of it. Disney Plus is Marvel’s version of The CW

I liked Hawkseye. So far, the inly Disney+ MCU shows I didn’t like was Loki (just let the character die and move on already) as well as the ending of Falcon &WS, it felt a bit rushed after a great setup.

Same, the only show i really didn’t like was Loki (i don’t want him to die though), and Falcon & WS though it had some fun moments was ultimately a mess, they tried too hard to push an agenda, they don’t seem to understand that if they just let things happen organically people won’t have a problem with it, Hawkeye’s a good example of yes we know the agenda is there but it’s not being shoved down our throats by saying “black black black” “gay gay gay” 100 million times

There’s one scene in wich one of the larpers gives Hawkey her bag she’d put his arrows in it, and when Hawkeye wants to bring the whole bag with him she’s like “please don’t brake it, my wife made it for me”, and that’s perfectly fine, it’s a simple and cute sceme that would work with any couple

Loki (i don’t want him to die though)

I don’t actively want him to die either but I think his story arc should’ve concluded in Infinity War, as bringing another Loki in takes away from the character value and doesn’t bring anything new tbh. I guess it’s Loki’s gimmick to one way or another find his way back and he is popular among fangirls but it’s just getting old now.

they tried too hard to push an agenda

I kinda agree they pushed it to the maximum, however, I find it hilarious in a meta way that Falcon’s struggle is that the world doesn’t wanna accept a black Captain America, and the people who say this story arc is just pushing a woke narrative are the same ones who cried themselves to sleep when it was announced (in real life) that Falcon is gonna be the new Captain America (in the movies). Basically Anthony Mackie can relate to Sam Wilson as both face criticism from people saying ”I refuse to accept you as the new Captain America, that’s woke garbage!” thus proving that Sam’s struggles are actual struggles and not just some ”woke plotpoint”.

😂😂 Put like that it does sound quite ironic

I don’t deny that Falcon does face struggles becoming the next Cap, but i don’t think it’s realistic to pin it all down on racism when the story is set in the 2020s, sure you’re always gonna get the few racist a-holes, but it’s not the massive problem it was like lets say back when Steve first became Cap in the 1940s

There’s more than one plot point i think would’ve worked much better if they hadn’t focused so much on the fact that Falcon is black, the main one being: Why was John Walker chosen as the next Cap over Falcon? Rather than dumbing it down to “Reeeee!!! Because he’s white!!!” They could’ve explored the complexity behind that which only showed in glimpses in the final cut of the show, to me it’s painfully obvious why the higher-ups, high ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, politicians, ecc. would do something like that, to fool the public, John Walker (at least in the show, don’t know the comics) is a puppet lookalike of Captain America, having someone who looks like Cap gives the public a false sense of security of “oh, Cap is still here!”, and that’s just one reason, the other being Falcon is too smart for them, Falcon won’t follow orders blindly, that’s why they tricked him into giving up the shield by playing with his emotions, and there someone could’ve put the doubt in Sam’s mind “who’s gonna exept a black Cap?”, when in reality the only people who didn’t want him were the ones greedy for power, that’s still a struggle and sounds much more interesting and compelling than “’cause i’m black”
