This was a short video of how I have felt over the years after seeing TLJ. I know that it is a tired and worn out topic of discussion that will no longer trend or get any clout which is the exact reason why I decided to upload the video and share my thoughts. A lot of people will probably disagree with me on this subject. However I genuinely felt betrayed by the person whos character that we looked up to, to always do the right thing, despite the most desperate or difficult of circumstance’s.

Actors are professionals, if anything this should teach them to be wary of any long term contracts.

He clearly had a level of objection to the direction these movies took, but if he’s already under contractual obligations he’s going to fulfill them, it’s that simple.

Ultimately that’s what happens when intellectual properties become franchises. If a character is any way ‘returning’, there’s a decent chance they won’t function the same way they originally did.

The modern evisceration of beloved characters has taught me a couple of things:

    a. Compartmentalize. Hold in high esteem beloved films and characters and relegate the shameless, expectation subverting pieces of shyte that is contemporary cinema to the trash heap.

    b. Not to take things so seriously. Very few in Hollywood won’t sell their souls…maybe they don’t have a choice, maybe they don’t care, who knows. I’m not going to lose any sleep over actors, actresses (or however else they identify themselves these days) who will prostitute themselves and then play the victim to remain relevant.

God has blessed us with a good imagination, so use it and let our beloved characters live on in befitting stories that we create for them.

This is a good point, however the person still did act out each scene. Me personally I could not do that. But you had some good points that I myself have taken the time of course to think about in light that it has been over a year now. To me I remember when actors had power over scenes, hell a lot of times they were so tiring to work with because they would change the scripts and improv lines and interactions with the sets or the other characters because they thought the directors did not understand the character, and the character would not behave this way. But any rate this is a long tired subject a real eye roller for lots of people now. I only made the video as a release of negative emotions that I kept inside myself as kind of a much needed therapy.
