I crave good sci-fi and fantasy

I grew up in the 80’s/90’s.  Those decades were chocked full of great sci-fi and fantasy movies. And I loved it.  And while the pace slowed in the early 2000’s we still had stuff coming out that was good.

But now that river of content has slowed to a trickle.  Yes stuff comes out still but it is cr@p. And I mean uber cr@p.  Not only are they bad on their own but often times they poop all over their own source material.

At this point I find myself replaying old shows and movies over and over because well, that’s all their is at this point.

The point of this thread was not to whine but to see if we can get a thread going pointing out any lost gems from the past or find maybe some new ones.  Maybe some diamonds in the rough.
