If PS5 is 699$ US. What’s the perfect price point for the Xbox series???

I’d go 399$. But the max should be 499. Anything above that will kill them.

Dafuq. $699 is insane. Are they trying to be like Apple? I’m pretty over both companies. Tired of giving them money. Tired of the trash being pushed on people. Not willing to do $399 either. Ready to go completely retro at this point.

I don’t think the average person buying a new console will go over $499. I think a $399 and $499 version would be idea. Cheaper of course would be better.

Me personally, I never buy a new console at launch so it’s going to be a while before I start thinking about getting one. I still have a ton of games I need to play through/finish anyway.

Microsoft can sell the XBOX at a loss as Windows & licensing Minecraft & other products makes up for any losses. The XBOX will likely be the cheapest one by default

Snowball’s chance in hell of it being a single cent below $499.99 USD. It won’t happen. But I wouldn’t, however, be surprised if it stayed at that $500 price point. Microsoft’s existing ins with PC part manufacturers also suggests the likelihood of their ability to set a reasonable price tag while still retaining the ability to turn a small profit.

If Xbox is over $500 it will be over for them. Even 500 is pushing it. With Microsoft not making many games that are going to be console exclusive, it would be better to invest that money into upgrading my computer.

Also if PS is $699 it will be a very hard sell. They will have to come up with the most badass PlayStation exclusives that will make me go okay I can wait for the holidays for the PS5 to drop in price. Also they have to be true exclusives. None of this after a year we will now release it on Xbox and PC bullshit because if that is the case I would rather take that money and continue the upgrade to my computer.

250 for the all digital version. I have never owned a XBOX. I have a PS4 and a PS3. For me to switch brands they need to sell cheap. But they would make a lot of money in the long run on games. I bought my PS4 Slim for 270 dollars on sale. I’ve spent over 2000 dollars on games in 2 years.

I reckon $499 would be a nice way for microsoft to get a price advantage and earlier adoption of sales like how the PS4 was $100 cheaper than the XOne.

The price is always insane to start with. When it launches, both PS5 and Xbox Series X will be ridiculously priced. However, depending on how many people buy will depend on if it stays that price. I do agree with y’all it will probably be $499 and give it a year and it will drop in price.

But one thing one friend pointed out to me, these consoles are basically computers. So the prices are cheap in comparison to say a brand new top of the line gaming PC, so there’s that.

I think that Xbox series needs to stay at $500. It would be a smart marketing strategy and possible beat Sony’s PlayStation 5 sales. I think that Sony will reveal PlayStation 5’s price point before Microsoft reveals Xbox series X’s price point.

The consoles themselves are supposed to allow 60-120 FPS (to my understanding), that is well beyond what they can do in their current states (Xbox One & PS4). That is something that PCs are only capable of doing. Do I think Consoles will replace PCs? Not in a million year,s but as far as gaming, I do believe they will be pretty close.
