Is Lucasfilm purposely destroying star wars?

It honestly feels like the story group faction is pissed off about Luke Skywalker returning and are doing everything in their power to destroy “The Mandalorian’s” success. They cant be so stupid as to not know how much firing Gina has affected the show, as she was allegedly hand picked by Favreau for the role. They simply don’t want Star Wars to be in the image of George Lucas, instead focusing on their new characters and ignoring the legacy ones. Its obvious its story group vs Favreau and Filoni.

I’m so tired of being a star wars fan these days.

Now the Star Wars fans can feel the same pain the Star Trek fans have had (with STD and pickkerd).

And yes, KK is destroying star wars.

She spend her most “productive years” working under Lucas and Speilberg as a glorified gopher.

Agenda is more important to them than making a profit/making good stories.

This is what happens when your only real work in 40 years in the BIZ was a coffee maker; but somehow convince the old boss that you are a shoe in for his replacement upon retirement.

Why would Disney be sabotaging Star Wars when they are one of the greediest companies who just care about money? Don’t they realize they will lose profit over this?

    The answer is simple.

Ideology trumps profit. For ideological zealots, there is no greater accomplishment than spreading the dogmatic gospel of your agenda. Creating a hive mind of ready and willing NPC slaves is a far greater victory than profit. Look at the results. The retarded twitter NPC army they have helped to create over the past few years can force the removal of a sitting US President from social media platforms.

The fun part is, they are first beginning to realize they have helped to create a monster they have no true control over, as such is the truth whenever ideological zealots create NPC armies. Eventually, they lose control because the NPCs stop receiving new downloads and begin to simply operate with a single primary objective at the root.

In this case, it will be “Cancel Everything that disagrees with us”, but once the new downloads fail to take effect, the cancel mob will continue to cancel EVERYTHING in sight, even their original masters.

Yes. The Last Jedi felt like a total political agenda that was going beyond itself to destroy beloved characters like Luke, but it’s roots ultimately lie before the Disney films even began. The destruction of the EU and the eradication of a majority of the books from store shelves AND online distribution was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. They still print some old Star Trek books and most older publications today are made digitally available for purchase. Not so under Disney! Talk about book burnings.

For myself, after Revenge of the Sith ended and George Lucas declared the end of the franchise, I settled it in my heart that it was time to move on. So the Disney stuff never impacted me much until recently with the Mulan issue and overt politicization of everything. It feels like I’m living out the 1930s. The hunting down and stamping out of anyone who opposes or even harbors views the state does not agree with. The power of corporations is as strong now as it was during the colonial period. How did we allow this to happen? How did we allow the return of beyond big business, money empires?

I’m 30. The spit on generation. We never seemed to be able to do anything right. Rejected on all levels. The promise was that good things come through difficulty. Not much good has come to me or those I know my age. One of those good things, the only thing that was there for me in the most trying times in my life; Star Wars. I never would have thought a little publicly known producer from films like Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark would one day become the spearhead of an attack on…stories?

It reminds me of that old song. They fought and fought bloody battles for a treasure that whence they turned over the stone, peace on earth was all it said.

Star Wars wasn’t bad. It wasn’t evil. It was a nice thing to enjoy the time with. What everything in life is about. Because time is short. We don’t live very long.

I used to think this was all about the money. But I don’t think so anymore. Money is meaningless and corporations have figured that out. Control. Power. These are what the conglomerates really value.

The nazi/communist/useful idiots/npc/cancel culture… the ends justify the means.

So long as we get to the dystopia, it does not matter what has to be sacrificed to get there… ie personal freedoms and liberties, human rights, profits, etc.

The cult of their agenda is all those zealots care about.

It seems like the leadership does indeed purposely damage the brand. This does NOT apply to all employees of Lucasfilm, I feel that people like Favreau and Filoni genuinely care about Star Wars and want to tell good stories. They should be way more in command. I also would love to see former people associated with Star Wars like Drew Karpyshyn (who worked on KotOR and wrote the phenomenal Darth Bane Trilogy) make a return. Just imagine a Darth Bane movie adaptation written by Karpyshyn and directed by Zack Snyder!

But to make this work, KK and her minions need to go. As long as she is in charge, Star Wars can never truly recover. So yes, it is not easy to be a Star Wars fan nowadays. I never lose my hope completely, but a lot of things need to change in order to be not only hopeful, but truly optimistic.

I have thought about this a lot, after the last toiletry.

Seriously; if it were not true, they would have had a onscreen reunion between Luke Leia and Han, think of the millions that would have generated as more people would have gone to simply see it, Think of what would have happened to see Mando Luke and Leia fighting some First Order with SABERS. How about Force Ghost talking to Luke and Leia maybe even Mrs.Identity-theft Rey… So much lost potential in story and revenue.

They are lead not by story tellers or dreamers, but by social politics and the pure desire to force it, like in many schools in to everyone’s life, to make their views of an ideal society come to pass.

Gina was right in saying people are afraid to speak out against the few because the “few” are in this case the powerful that hold their jobs in their hands but worse they have also shown they have no fear of attacking the persons family.

Remember, KK stated “the past must die”.

I say the past trilogy must die, thrown into a black hole along with KK and her Kahoots, and erased from memory as a start to healing Star Wars.

I feel like the pushback against this shit was starting to have an effect but then Covid hit and the insanity flamed up worse than ever. It was the perfect fallguy to blame their woke financial  failures on.

This just gave me the instant image of a Replicator from Stargate. 😏

I feel sometimes it’s not so much that the people who are steering this… Whatever you want to call it, are deliberately plowing into the reefs. It’s just that they think they are right and can’t imagine how the way they do things can ruin the setup. Especially since it was doing so well…
