I have always opposed such laws.
Instead of hiring the best candidate for the job, this new employee is nothing but a token employee, with everyone around them knowing they were hire not for what they can do to ADD to the company, but because it was a legislative hire.
And how will that token employee feel, knowing they got the job not because of their qualifications, but because of their ethnic background or because of their self-identification.
The same goes for you having to have a certain number of ‘X” on your board of directors/executives, even if they are not QUALIFIED for those positions.
This FAIL UPWARDS is doomed nonsense.
