Is Lucasfilm purposely destroying star wars?

    I don’t know…

    in some cases, it’s just a matter of lack of quality in the team/staff. In this day and age, companies are getting a lot of members that don’t have quality, they’re just twitter users, basically. Activists. They don’t know what hard work is. They don’t even like to work, to be productive.

    The result is what we see everyday, industries being destroyed. Lack of quality everywhere. Poor choices, poor leadership, poor management. Just pure stupid activism.

    And when it’s time to work, to get something done, they can’t, because they have no idea what they’re doing.  We see this everyday. Not only in disney and sony. Even in the white house now.

    @Hazu  I read an article last month stating that the US have been downgraded in the innovation (?) ranking with other nations.  With the school system indoctrinates (and does not teach), where more and more everyone is “entitled”, I can see you point easily.

    Under the new law, some 625 publicly held corporations will need to include at least one person from an underrepresented community — either a racial minority or a self-identified member of the LGBTQ community — by the end of 2021.
    That includes individuals who self-identify as Black, African-American, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaska Native, or who self-identify as LGBTQ.

    But anyway, yeah Kathleen Kennedy and everyone that she hired are probably just activists trying to hijack an industry and we are witnessing the results.

    I have always opposed such laws.

    Instead of hiring the best candidate for the job, this new employee is nothing but a token employee, with everyone around them knowing they were hire not for what they can do to ADD to the company, but because it was a legislative hire.

    And how will that token employee feel, knowing they got the job not because of their qualifications, but because of their ethnic background or because of their self-identification.

     

    The same goes for you having to have a certain number of ‘X” on your board of directors/executives, even if they are not QUALIFIED for those positions.

     

    This FAIL UPWARDS is doomed nonsense.

    The Hire minorities laws are racist as fuck. They are put in place by Demonrats who know that they wouold never hire anyone based on skill.

    Whereas real buisness hires for skill and productivity.

    When do the stockholders lose enough money to get rid of Kathleen Kennedy?  Many people I know are done with Disney as a whole.   They’re not going to the theme parks.   Not buying the toys.  They canceled Disney +.  When do they turn the ship around?  After Black Widow fails?  After the New Republic fails?  When do the care about entertaining fans again?

    Well….SG-1 is part of my sci-fi DNA…

    Well, as long as it’s not Replicator DNA…

    I mean… they are being “productive”, from a certain point of view.  With such a big ship like Disney supporting Lucasfilm it’ll take time for their actions to show their results. Kennedy is just part of Lucasfilm, right? Not Disney?
