Good writing, great price, new comic book universe to enjoy. Isom #2 brings much of the same energy as the previous comic with more story development of the world around Isom and what powers and worldly struggles surround Isom’s life.

Things go from Zero to a hundred within the first 10 pages and the story runs at a much faster pace than the first one. In Isom #2, it feels like the story is just running and gunning from drama, suspense, and action as the story runs like a locomotive through your mind. The story goes to the best of its own drum and shatters what you think this world is about.

The story shows us how grounded the characters are and isn’t afraid to make them complex or give them a deep and enriching backstory. Everything feels like a warm memory of comic books and nostalgia, but wrapped in original writing. I honestly didn’t know how to feel after coming to the end of the comic book.

So many details covered, so much to wrap my head around, and it keeps me on the edge of my seat until the very last page that has me scratching my head wondering WTF is going to happen next!

The story definitely picked up a pace I wasn’t expecting and honestly felt like we went into another gear of story pace the further I read. Aside from being a little fast paced, the comic book world Eric July is building is amazing and honestly I never want to stop reading.

Eric isn’t afraid to bring up world building concepts that may break a few hearts for long standing comic readers, coming up with fresh material, and building rules that may or may not end up being shattered. I don’t know what’s going to happen next in the story and that’s what I love about Isom.

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Solid comic series, I can’t wait for the other comics to come out and keep this story train going. Love live rippaverse.</p>
