So Keanu Reeves co-created a comic called BRZRKR. Funded first on Kickstarter with over 600,000 copies sold, making it the best selling comic since Marvel’s reboot of Star Wars in 2015. Netflix recently announced the company is developing a live-action and anime series based on the comic with Keanu Reeves staring in both. Are mainstream comics studios like DC Comics and Marvel days are numbered, and the riseof Indie comics being funded on Kickstarter the future? There are days I think Keanu is the biggest geek of all and then he does shit like this to PROVE he is. Dude just has fun in life and seems very humble and private.

It’s one character and it’s Keanu and he has a following. I like that he is into the gun culture and the comic culture. This is good for comics and not bad for comics. This the thing I like about geekdom so much is that comics are a way for the little guy to get paid if they have crowd support. It’s one of the few opportunities out there still. It’s not just mainstream comics, but mainstream everything that has been making poor decisions and treated their fans and public poorly. All of corporate America has turned on Americans, so Americans are going independent. Comics are only reflecting this trend.
