Unless there is some function beyond simply showing a vote total on the post I don’t think it will matter anyhow. I know some sites like Reddit and Twitter will move upvoted comments higher up while downvoted comments get pushed down or silenced, thus creating and incentive to stuff the ballots, so to speak. On most standard message boards though, the like and dislike votes don’t really do anything.
