I would have to say the animated version is the best adaption with Dana Delany is my NUMBER 1 (1996-2000).
It shows her resourcefulness, and determination to get the story.
It shows her best as an “army brat”, and is the closest to the comic book I grew up with.
While, IMO, Margot Kidder (1978, 80, 83, 87), Kate Bosworth (2006), and Amy Adams (2013, 16, 17) did good with the script they were dealt with, it was not the Lois Lane of the comic books.
Same goes for the TV shows, where Noel Neill (Adventures of Superman 1952-58), Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman 1993-97).
Noel was not the “risk taker”, and Teri was too refined, and did too many “silly” things to get the story.
