      This is one of the very few current TV Shows I sometimes watch.  It’s cute, entertaining and it’s free of politics.

      Or so I thought, I guess propaganda is everywhere.

      Gordon Ramsay asks a 10yr old girl who is cooking a tuna dish what she would do with the prize money if she won.  She says she would buy 19 cats because she aspires to be a crazy cat lady. (WTF right?!?).  Then Gordon asks her why the number 19?  She says its her lucky number because the 19th amendment gives women the right to vote.

      Seriously?  I am sure her parents are not radicals at all whom are such narcissists that they prepped her to say such things so they could virtue signal for this show. And I am totally sure that little question and answer session was organic.

      I am going outside now to set all my TV’s on fire. (sarcasm)

        🤣🤣 In all fairness though she didn’t say something ultra cringy compare to what we usually hear on mainstream TV, i mean the amendment that gave women the right to vote? At least it’s not a fake femminist victim mentallity complaint of like “the aircon is too cold for women ’cause it’s set according to men’s body temperature REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”, not having equal rights really was an issue back at the turn of the century and that amendment helped women fight against something that was unfair, nothing wrong with being greatful that happened, i honestly find it way more cringy how modern femminist take all that women, and men, fough for in the past for granted by playing the fake victim and screaching how bad women (don’t) have it today

          Saw it and Gordon looks a little cringe at it… Had it been an adult I am sure the F-bombs would have been flying.

            @Digicat

            You are right it is not at all the cringiest thing to say on the face of it.  But the fact she is a 10yr old girl who was obviously coached by someone is what puts it over the line for me.

              Oh yeah, that definitely puts me off

              And i assume by Gordon’s reaction he could see the coaching a mile away, i wonder if the perants got any f-bombs instead 🤣

              Just curious, ’cause i’m not in the US, when do kids start learning about the constitution in school? In my country we started learning about constitution first year of middle school, so a bit older than MasterChef girl

                Use to be about 4th grade here Digi, now I seriously doubt they get taught any meaningful Civics let alone Constitutional. I have shown 30 year olds and younger the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers and had a couple at first glance say “I dont need to hear about that republican group” they have no clue those documents explain why our Constitution is the way it is… In all reality when in doubt to something in its meaning, the courts should refer to them to see why and rule then with full knowledge.

                  A follow up on my original post.

                  In a later episode of that same season they had an episode called “Girl Power”. They had a panel of guest judges who were all women (they must have had a biologist on staff) and during that episode that same little girl exclaimed how excited she was about it because she was (in her words exactly) a feminist.

                  Now all in all was this some sort of ultra woke episode?  No, not from what I saw.  But clearly that is what they were trying to appeal too.  I find it a shame to drag children into such things.

                    The little kids have no Idea, its what they are told or scripted to say. Heck I know feminist that are no longer sure what that word means lol.

                      This, dragging kids into things which they don’t have full knowleged about, is what i find cringe worthy, there’s many shows, reality and fiction, that have girl power episodes or are even just girl power shows, but there is absolutely no need to make something that should just be plain fun drenched in politics

                      Anyway, the best possible outcome is that one day when this girl grows up she’ll give a loving home to 19 stray kitties 🐱 (i’m assuming she’ll mature by then and not buy the cats, at least not all of them)
