Difficult for me to really care about movies or theaters these days. Even if tickets were cheaper, much of what’s been coming out has been either boring or terrible. Even for movies that are supposedly good like Spiderman: No Way Home, I almost never end up going to the theater to watch them, because I just never seem to work up the motivation to do so. I usually just end up waiting for a friend of mine brings the Blu-rays of said movies to play at my place.

For me the movie theater value just isn’t there anymore.  It was one thing back in the day when we had crappy VHS with 19-25 inch TVs and everything took 6-12 months to come out on video.   Now we have 4K screens at 55-85 inches with HDR, and multi-channel home theater sound systems. Plus the movies are available at home in anywhere between the same day to 3 months at the most.  Also at home  I don’t have to put up with ass hats talking on their phones during the movie.
