Was gonna pass on this trailer, but I’m reading books by Daniel Yergin and he got in my head. Not that much of a fan of Billy Bob, but he has a great career, and is also a musician. His dad was a psychic. Oil and Gas is an amazing industry. Any innovation and it’s like, bam, tens of thousands of jobs right away. I like anything that has to do with real trade and wealth. I’d even watch one if they ever made a show about kinds of specific sand they use for concrete, or the quartz used for semiconductors.

New Series Streaming November 17 exclusively on Paramount+.

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs.

‘Ash’ Teaser Trailer – Sci-Fi Horror Movie from Flying Lotus Gets Violent and Trippy

That Baby Ochi creature = Baby Yoda (Mandalorian) = Gizmo (Gremlins).

ASH – trailer feeds you just enough to make it interesting.

But The Electric State stands out from the lot…looks like a good adventure movie.

Appreciate the feedback. Creative things are like that. It’s really about what appeals to you. There is a comic book from Boom Studios called Vicarious. They made a youtube trailer for it and I liked that one. The ideas of it. There are good shows, but many times, they just fizzle out. I think if you can get two good solid seasons, that is commendable.

Really liked Severance. Was curious about the story, but it took it’s time coming up with more.

In Severance, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

Okay, I decided to post this. Let me know if it is out of bounds. It came off like a show or movie to me, but it is a comic book. Only read issue 1 so far and I felt like I was watching it.

Justin is your average 20-something burnout–no real connections with anyone or prospects on his horizon. But, after a dangerous encounter reveals itself as a fortuitous opportunity, Justin finds just what his life has been missing in the secret world of Proxies–young, attractive, ambitious hustlers like himself who allow the rich access to their feelings and experiences through a cutting edge technological implant.

FX’s limited series Say Nothing is a gripping story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. The 9-episode series is based on the book by Patrick Radden Keefe.

Spanning four decades, the series opens with the shocking disappearance of Jean McConville, a single mother of ten who was abducted from her home in 1972 and never seen alive again.

Telling the story of various Irish Republican Army (IRA) members, Say Nothing explores the extremes some people will go to in the name of their beliefs, the way a deeply divided society can suddenly tip over into armed conflict, the long shadow of radical violence for all affected, and the emotional and psychological costs of a code of silence.

The series stars Lola Petticrew as Dolours Price and Hazel Doupe as Marian Price, young women who became potent symbols of radical politics. Anthony Boyle stars as Brendan Hughes, a charismatic but conflicted military strategist, and Josh Finan as Gerry Adams, a leading political operator who would go on to negotiate peace and has always denied having any involvement with the IRA. Maxine Peake stars as Older Dolours Price.

That Vicarious trailer was spellbinding. I’d be up for a movie/animated series in keeping with the style exhibited therein.

Thought this was going to be on Joan Collins or Joan Rivers. Sometimes, it’s good just to see these people do something different. Also, sometimes, you can observe and actor suck for many years, suddenly, become pretty decent. Not saying that here, but it’s kind of fun when it happens.

Synopsis: Joan Hannington, a fiery and uncompromising woman in her 20s, is a devoted mother to her 6-year-old daughter, Kelly, but is trapped in a disastrous marriage with a violent criminal named Gary. When Gary goes on the run, Joan seizes the opportunity to create a new life for herself and her daughter. Adopting new identities and making new acquaintances along the way, Joan becomes a masterful jewel thief. She embarks on a thrilling, high-stakes journey that challenges her every limit, driven by her desire to create a secure home.

Was not gonna post this, but it looks like a silent movie, basically. Something different.

A wondrous journey, through realms natural and mystical, Flow follows a courageous cat after his home is devastated by a great flood. Teaming up with a capybara, a lemur, a bird, and a dog to navigate a boat in search of dry land, they must rely on trust, courage, and wits to survive the perils of a newly aquatic planet. From the boundless imagination of the award-winning Gints Zilbalodis (Away) comes a thrilling animated spectacle as well as a profound meditation on the fragility of the environment and the spirit of friendship and community. Steeped in the soaring possibilities of visual storytelling, Flow is a feast for the senses and a treasure for the heart.

    In theaters 11/22!

Looks ok. Agree with Maverick about kind of not being into any of it. I have no interest in Venom. The only one is maybe Kraven. I don’t expect anything I actually want to see out of Hollywood anymore. If they do hit any mark, it is kind of a fluke. I did see Heretic only because I thought it would be kind of like Nefarious. It was ok, but meh. Marvel had a world class run, but once you see them doing campaign ads, it’s pretty much over. Harrison Ford is an all time legend, but he’s just not the same guy. Mackie keeps getting these great chances.

Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford star in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World. Watch the brand-new trailer and experience it only in theaters February 14.

Hard to believe one can recover from that.

Flow‘s a work of art. Primal is a series based on the same “Silent Animation” concept and the first Season was pretty good. Haven’t gotten around the the 2nd as yet.

Chance looks like it’ll make for compelling viewing.

Joan‘s not my cup of tea, but I hope it brings Sophie Turner some success. Her post Game Of Thrones career (like that of most of her fellow co-stars) hasn’t been great.

This dropped yesterday. Despite it being a flop I thought Dead Reckoning was ok. Hope that Cruise can close out the franchise with a bang.
